We all prob expected a bit too much from yesterdays game and maybe are being a bit over critical. It was stated that after Gh's 6 years adapting to a more fluent game will take time I especially thought Sami looked a little lost with the ball as did Riise but Im sure with time these teething problems will be sorted. Regarding Kewell I feel the same as (I think it was StMichael) but could we have that nagging injury story in the back of our minds and thus worry about it (especially for those who recall what starbridge wrote on this site several months ago).
I hate to harp on about Owen but I did feel that whilst the front two showed much promise and I think Cisse could become our Henry im not sure if Baros can replace the natural class of Owen Baros doesnt give me the same feeling that something will happen or that he will definatly score. If he does go I think its only acceptable if Morientes is part of the deal and would like to see him and cisse play as the main two.
Finnans versatility will keep him as a valuable squad member but we need another mid, Alonso will beef us up in the middle. However I agree with the cheeky Gallas offer he is exactly who we need. All in all we are embarking on a new way of playing whose early signs are good. Josemi the gaffers only buy IMO looked class and gave me a new heightened optimism in his ability so lets keep our finger and toes crossed and keep our helds held high, and when your down the pub being asked what the hell is going on at anfield just confidently say you'll see buddy you'll see.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.
