Defense of benitez - A look into the future

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The problem with posts in Rafa's defence, is that they always run along the lines of "Rafa will be fine so long as he does this...., or changes this...., or stops doing this.....

The trouble is, if we've learned nothing else about Rafa, we all know by now that he will not change anything, won't take advice, and won't accept criticism. Anything else is wishful thinking.

Benitez won't change for simple reason, he thinks his way is the only way. It's proven not to be so we have to get rid of him.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

The only way that could possibly be proven is if, in a parallel dimension, every single event were the same, save for Rafa's rotating.

And even then, it's not to say it wouldn't work the following year. Or the year after, etc.

So, in short (well - long, actually! :D) - it cannot be "proven" to be the case.

LAndo, judging by this seasons performances in league and cups do you honestly, hand on heart, believe Rafa is taking us in the right direction? And can you explain how, and what games you have been watching that we've all missed?

Thats a very good point and basically what i have been getting at. Will Rafa learn from his mistakes in the near future?

That is main thing that frustrates me with Benitez. He is a great manager and he has already proven that he can work miracles but surely he can make his job so much easier by making decisions that everyone else seems to see as straight forward decisions.

Well I think the overreaction to some of our earlier performances didn't help with expectations, but, current form aside, we've played some of our best attacking footy for years this term.
