Geez to think at start of this season  i was hopeful this would be year of Liverbird. (sure ive been hopeful every year since early 90s but this time it was more then just rose coloured glasses)

Things were looking great even Harry wasnt off phyiso bench , Torres was making a mockery of need a season to bed in excuse . Even a few weeks ago it was a still looking pretty good............wtf happened

what a joke, 500 million might by the club but what about the debt. Where would the money come from for transfers and the new stadium. Also with 1000s of owners what would happen with ticket allocation. Owners would take priority, so their would be no place for the paying public as the stadium would already be full.
Yes Liverpool have problems at moment but this is once agtain making us a laughing stock.

500 is just to buy the club, there would have to be further investments from the fans for paying off the debts, for transfer and basically for running the club.  For this to work, there would have to be some pretty serious people involved in managing this whole thing.

Parry, Miskelly, Moores, Fowler, Gerrard, Carragher some pretty wealthy people can buy a lot of shares.

This is all a hoax!!!!. The team deserves more esp from the fans who shld now be more concerned about the underperforming manager and players as well as cheering the team when it plays instead of insulting people who brought them Torres...

Why is everyone taking the :censored: out of this scheme??

All you need is 100,000 fans putting in £5000+ each, I'm fairly confident that won't be too hard, I'll happily buy in to this.

This type of fan ownership works well at Barcelona and last time I checked they are quite a successful team, with a bit more cash to spend than us :-)

Fk me a reasonable post  :p

£500m would be enough to buy the club and clear our debts, considering the price our current owners paid around £350m.

Without debt we would already be better off to the tune of £30m a year, therefore money for transfers would also be there. It is the financing for the new staduim that is not clear, but for now i would rather we stayed at Anfield and clear of debt. I've been thinking about a fan buyout for a while, and think that we will easily find more than 100,000 investors.
