This was their CL final, if we had won 10-0 we would still only have been in the next round and they would have gone away with no great memories. Yes we played bad but at least a little team has had a great day out.

We will have bigger and better days than today, they probably never will. We do need to sort some things out quickly though.

Congratulations to Havant.......... and now lets make sure we get it right for midweek.

well done to havant, they did themselves proud

just a bit worried really how players like pennant, babel, crouch, skertel, finnan, mascherano all looked average even against non league opposition

We're through.

You can never rule anything out when it comes to the FA cup, you play teams who'll fight for their lives. Every one of our players has played at a lower level at some stage in their career.

Ultimately our quality came through, Benayoun in particular. He's at his best playing through the middle.

Was really p!ssed off at that first half display, that team was good enough to finsih them off before half time.

Our players look lost without Gerrard and so does the team.

Glad we are through my fella give me the biggest load of stick the first half of that game I felt like tw@tting him.

Anyway we live to fight another day but these players have got to pull their feckin socks up.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

At least I got a possitive out of the result. When I saw that H&W were 66/1 to be in the lead at any time during the game, I tought its got to be worth a fiver of anyones money. So i'm now £365 better off. Cheers Havent  :D  :D  :D
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

benayoun is ok but i still wouldnt have him a garanteed place on either of the flanks...maybe his best position is behind a striker (still dont think hes good enough against the top teams though)

we still need two top quality wingers and keep benayoun because he can play 3 or 4 positions

pennant and kewell must go in the summer, both dont cut it

Terrible performance , well done to havant and waterlooville , were through to the next round and that's all that matters  after all it's the FA cup . Giant killings and sensational performances by part timers is what the cup is all about.

No and especially not when our side lacks flair and creativity.  That money should be spent on a player who can create and score goals.

I actually agreed. If he is worth much less. We should keep him. But with limited funds get some creativity in the middle should do us a load of good. Currently we are deploying defenders as playmaker. This cannot go on..

OMFG... ppl who like to talk without watching the game... or who clearly cannot see quality...

I was reffering to overall games played. Not just today's game.
Yes I am watching...
Masch has potential and we should try to keep him, but for 17million? After spending the money does it mean no more players coming in? Whys is it that we are so sure without Masch Liverpool cannot function? I understand humans are afraid of change but to insist for status quo irregardless of results is suicidal.

dude get out of town...

Masch has potential??? have you been watching our clubs games? or did you just prance on here to talk rubbish... Masch is quality! he is proven quality! he doesn't have potential... he IS an already established Argentinian International at 23 :censored: years old. Babel is potential. Agger is potential. Masch is proven!

Proven in Premiere League?
Dude get your head check.. he can't even get into West Ham first 11 when he got here. Here as in PL.
England has so many proven players.. so how did they not qualify for Euro2008. Shouldn't it be a shoo in I mean if football is all about reputation. Heck why bother playing, England should win by reputation.. NOT.

errrrrrr... mate you are grasping at straws here... I would just like to warn you not to embarrass urself any further because you are either very ignorant or you clearly are a very poor judge of players...

im with saint on this one, pretty poor display by ourselves but we pulled it together and where in the next round.

as for the players and fans of havant theyve lead at anfield, not once but twice and deserved it aswell, they gave a great account of themselves and can be proud of what they did today. good on them and i hope they enjoyed every minute of it.

right now i would play benyaoun as support striker ahead of babel... babel just doesn't cut it for me... he's just too laid back... his passes are careless... his shots seem like he doesn't believe they're gonna go in so he wishes the shots to go in...

I must say some people on this forum have absolutely NO idea about football and the FA Cup!

People were saying play Nemeth etc. all these 18 year olds who have never played against a profesional team, EVER. We could barely beat Havant with out "second" team ffs.

Havant were ALWAYS going to come at us, I mean wtf do they have to lose? Absolutely nothing. And they have the added advantage of half the country on their side. You might call them bin men etc. and think just because we're Liverpool we should be expected to beat them 10 - 0 or whatever but ffs show the side a bit of respect. How many teams come to Anfield and take the lead? (twice for that matter)

I'm glad we're through, and we were always going to be the better side in the 2nd half because of fitness levels, but we've major problems. I'm sorry but regardless of what happens the rest of this season Rafa needs to go, we need a change of personel at the club or we're just gonna be stuck like this forever and drift further away from the top clubs and closer to the others.

At the end of the day, Babel has more time to improve whereas Benayoun is probably reaching the best of his career if he hasn't already. I have nothing against Benayoun but I believe Babel is more of a danger and more of a goal scorer, we might not of seen this during his time at Liverpool that often but if you look at some of his performances for Ajax and Holland, he looks brilliant.

I wouldn't sell Pennant just yet, in some games he looks so promising but then again we can't keep players that aren't superb in every game they play, this is the main problem for Liverpool, the fact that so many players in nearly every game seem to underachieve. I'd sell Kuyt so we could at least scrape up some money for a better player or players, depending on how generous these idiotic owners are.

benyaoun would not cut it at the top level in this role.
