he was suspended for the game at the weekend so havant rearranged a league game for last night so that he would miss that game instead.

however the fa turned around and said that the suspension still stood and would carry over. i mean ffs, it would be the biggest game of the guys career and it's not as if he'd make that much of a difference anyway.

sorry, i still dont see what the fa have done wrong. doesnt matter who hes playing, hes suspended for the game. cant change the rules just beacuase of the opposition, that wouldnt be fair to the player who WILL play instead of him.

id like to see us play a few fringe players but still show havant the respect of a decent line up. lucas, alonso, pennant and kewell with kuyt and babel up front. a nice new defence thats attacking would be nice.

As much as it kills me to agree with the F.A Muppets  they have got this right. The secretary of H and W admitted to the F.A that they deliberately arranged last nights game so the player could serve his suspension, therefore trying to bend the rules. Imagine if we had tried this with Gerrard or Torres there would be uproar.

I am gutted for the lad but he has said himself "no one died , and it gives someone else a chance to play in my place".

Hello lads, just a quick post to say a big thank you to everyone from around the Liverpool boards who have posted so many kind messages about our club's FA Cup achievements.
It still doesn't seem real that we will be playing at Anfield on Saturday. But it must be real, the 6,000 tickets have gone, the coaches are booked up and the team are setting off at 9am in the morning (Friday) to travel up. There is not one H&W player, official or supporter who thinks we could have got a better tie than Liverpool. Your club and fans have been different class ever since we beat Swansea last week. I thank you. All the talk down here is that the game is sold out but I noticed the official site says tickets on sale. What will the crowd be? Anyway, all the best for the rest of the season. Win the European Cup once again but please have a very average game on Saturday.

Hi H&W welcome to the forum. We have no idea what team Rafa will put out for this one ( its hard enough guessing for a Premier League match). I for one am hoping that he rewards your remarkable achievements by playing his strongest 11.

Just out of interest are you hoping for the same or are you just happy enough to have earnt the chance to face us at Anfield no matter what team Rafa puts out ? Obviously I am hoping we win, and to be honest that we win very comfortably but this is a one off match and ANYTHING  is possible  :;):

Either way I am sure your team and fans will have a memorable day out, something to tell the kids about and Congratulations once again on your achievements in the F.A Cup so far

I'd like to see a scoreline of Liverpool 34 Havant and Finchley 0

But it'll be closer than that. Probably 2-0 to us.

All the talk they do about the romance of the cup and how great it is.

Then they get a non league club against big team and what do they do?

They show Sheffield Utd v Man City

Romance my arse!

Money talks.  :no

yep it was sorted just after the draw.
Sky did ask the FA to put the game on at 4pm and they would pay to have it on tv but the FA turned it down, shame.
only so many % of FA cup games can be on tv (the law on tv rights). if they had of done that then they would have to tell another team to go and bark for their share of the pot.
