We know very little about them or their plans for the club, yet many here want to give them the keys to the castle purely because they've got money in their pocket?

We know they're fans of the club, we know they're top professionals, we know they have greater access to capital than G&H, we know they have clear links to the Asian market, we know they'll probably take a keener interest in the club than G&H, we know they probably won't approach an inexperienced German manager behind our current manager's back, we know they probably won't reveal all about the club and its inner workings to the media.
We know, and/or can deduce a number of facts about DIC and how they would compare to our current owners.

1) Well for a start, there's no "they" when it comes to then being fans of the club. Their chief exec Samir Al Ansari is a fan, but it's not his money, and they've given no indication as to whether Al Ansari will have anything to do with the running of the club. For all we know, they could be putting an LFC link front and centre in order to appease us.
2) Also, there are a few too many "we know they'll probably" contradictions in your post for my liking. Either we know or we don't.
3) The way I see it - and I have been paying attention - we know f*ck all. They could come in and make G&H look like god's gift to chairmen, and their renewed approach absolutely reeks of opportunism to me.
So, why we have dozens of banners at games right now hailing them as the saviour of all that is good and pure about LFC I have no clue.

1) They - more than one.
I'm willing to place my house on the line that more than one member of DIC's hierarchy is a Liverpool fan. Ansari is the main man at the organisation, the fact that he supports us is absolutely relevant. The fact that it's not his money is however irrelevant. DIC have numerous ventures, and although Ansari may not be involved in the day-to-day running of the club, whenever funds need authorised, stadium plans ratified he'll be there. He runs the organisation, the fact that he's a fan suggests that he'll take a keener interest than you may think.
2) I was replying to your 'we know very little about them'. In fact, we can deduce a fair bit about them, and we know a fair bit about them. We know Ansari is a fan - fact. We can deduce from that fact that he'll probably be more aware of the club's situation than G&H are, and hence is unlikely to make silly errors of judgement ala the Klinnsmann comments.
3) You may know well know f*ck all about them, most however can deduce a fair amount more.
ivor_the_injun wrote:1) Put it another way then. Substitute Al Ansari with Steve Morgan.
He's an LFC fan too, but it never stopped him pushing the idea of a groundshare with Everton. Look at us two now - we're both LFC fans and we're arguing. I think Graham Souness quite liked us too, back in the 90s. One man's great idea is another man's horsesh*t though, let's not forget.
2)Are people daubing bedsheets with red poster paint begging the Dubai lot to come save us because they deduce that, odds are, they'll probably be less sh*t than those American fellas?
3) Is money so important to us now that we want the big decisions to be made purely on tenuous LFC connections and the relative depth of two different sets of pockets?
4) In recent years we've had more false dawns than I'm comfortable with, and this idea that the nice men from the UAE will be the ones that break our poor run of form in business terms just seems to be sheer lunacy from where I'm sitting.
5) And anyway, this is probably going to all be completely moot so long as Hicks hasn't been telling more porkies when he says the refinancing deal is all but done. I just don't like this begging culture we've suddenly acquired. "SOS Dubai" a banner said the other night. Our souls are really wanting saving if we're blindly falling in love with someone's money before they've even got on a plane to come and introduce themselves.
