Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Two people who work in Aintree hospital have just posted on RAWK that Voronin is having an x-ray on what they think is a suspected broken leg.

Not that I would wish an injury on (except Frank Lampard and Ronaldo) but I hope he is out for the rest of the season. At least this way Rafa will be forced to play Crouch more.

From the official site:

Rafa Benitez has been hit by news full-back Alvaro Arbeloa will be out for two to three weeks with an abdominal problem.
The Liverpool boss will also be without Andriy Voronin for the weekend's clash with Havant and Waterlooville due to an ankle injury sustained in training on Wednesday.

So not a broken leg change the title please mods.

We will miss Arbie.

I won't miss either of them, wouldn't mind if they were out for the rest of the season, I genuinely feel that Riise, although far from perfect, is our best left back, and as for Voronin, well all I can say is  :help
I don't suppose there's any chance of nobbling kuyt as well is there?  :wwww

Not sure what games you have been watching mate but Arbeloa has been far far better than Riise this season.
Riise has been getting steadily worse with every game and his shooting on sight no matter where he is on the pitch bordering on the ridiculous.
Arbeloa has been steady in most games and is composed on the ball and uses it properly 9 times out of 10.

If Voronin is out it may well be a blessing as Crouch should get more games, although we wouldnt wish any serious injury on the lad like.

The people knocking Arbeloa must be watching different match's then me. I think he's been brilliant the only time he's look bad  is when he's been forced to fill in the middle. He's by far the best LB we've got. We will miss him loads! Does anyone know when Aggers due back? He's not listed as injured on Physioroom.

I don't care much about Voronin, but I hope that Arbeloa is back for Inter.  I fear that Zlatan would destroy Finnan.  Any news on Agger?

From LFC.tv

Liverpool have today been dealt an injury blow with the news that Andriy Voronin faces up to six weeks on the sidelines.
The Ukrainian striker sustained the injury in training earlier this week and the club have now learned that the problem is worse than first thought.

Manager Rafael Benitez also confirmed that Daniel Agger is still a couple of weeks away from a possible first team return, while Alvaro Arbeloa will be sidelined for the next three weeks with an abdominal problem

--

feel sorry for him cause injuries to your own players are never good.... but somehow happy for us at the same time!

I also feel guilty for being happy about Voronin's injury. :D

So I guess Arbeloa is big doubt for the Inter match.  The only good news is that Agger may be fit for this match.

I heard today that Voronins injury is ankle ligament damage and he will have to have surgery.
Will he still be able to tour with his band .... the mighty Quo ?? :D
