Hasn't one of the top coaches just been charged with cheating for video taping his opponents signals Joe? I would have thought that it was something they all would do ?

this happened in September, and its the coach that is in the Superbowl.  Everybody trys to steal signals from the other team but it is illegal to use video to do it. A lot of teams hire lip readers, but it would only work if you played a team twice in a season because the lip readers would be cappable of breaking down what they mean during the game.  I would say its probably more commonplace in baseball because its even slower and you would have time to steal and react and send in your own signal

Good stuff joe;

Just imagine Eli winning it after Peyton won it last year. Fairy tale stuff, I bet Hollywood will make a movie about it.

But the odds are against the Giants to beat the 'invincible' Patriots.

Ive watched the NFL for the last 2 years and must say it is easily more
dramatic than football.

Nothing better than sitting down on a Sunday and watching 6 hours of top entertainment.

Jacksonville have been great this year, but there's no better quarterback to watch than
Romo for Dallas when he's on fire.

Unfortunately, the final will probably be one-sided.

Chargers winning at Colts last week is the equivalent of LFC winning away at Man U.

Superb stuff, cant wait til next year's season to kick off.

The Chargers remind me a lot of Tottenham.

They have a lot of offensive weapons, but they aren't quite at the same level as the elites, and they certainly do not play as well as a team as they should considering their talent.

Major difference is that the Chargers also have a good defense.

I would say that the drama in american football was very similar to how the end of the Villa game was, only in football it would be a constant array of last minute corners

I remember when the 49ers needed a late score, I'd always think "don't they know Montano is going to throw to Rice" he always did - Rice always caught it.

Blind people who listen to the game probably thought Montana Rice was the name of a player. :D

Congratulations to the New York Giants for playing a fantastic game and winning the Superbowl 17-14 over the New England Patriots.  The perfect season was just not to be for NE.  The Giants quarterback, Eli Manning, wins the Superbowl a year after his brother Peyton won the Superbowl with the Indianapolis Colts.  Amazing!

Excellent game, enjoyed it all, half time show was pretty cack though.  We should have more nfl on our telly and not on fuzzy five !

Well its not sh.it   Its different than football, and yes it is very stop start but it can be just as exciting.  This superbowl will go down as one of the best games ever played and one of the greatest upsets in North American Sports history.

It makes me cringed.

If I was American I think it'd be the sport I'd follow - although season is fairly short.

I agree though, American sports are a bit cheesy, cheerleaders, music, signs telling the crowd to cheer, some prat singing the  national anthem, half time entertainment etc.

Its their tradition though - so be it.

I definately think a highlights show would be good though, an hour a week.
