I've been smoking ever since I went stupid at 14 and tried to be one of the cool crowd. Dumbest thing I ever did.
Over the years, tried quitting many times with varying degrees of success but now I've given up trying to quit. I decided that I like it too much.

And I know it sounds like an excuse, but for me theres only 2 things I love doing more..... Nothing quite like a big, fat, stinking cigar at the end of a job. Only thing better than a cigarette at the end of the day is me girl.....

What can I say? Everyone needs a vice and life's too short..... or maybe I'm just weak... :D

Well the craving monster is like everything else Lynds, eventually he dies. By that I mean people who have successfully given up on the fags don't crave them anymore, they've killed off the monster on their back who hounds them at every turn for a fag. I kind of got to thinking when i was craving a fag that it was good, bring it on. The more you crave them, the quicker you kill the fecker off. If you don't really crave too bad , you'll be wanting one for months. Best get it over with, let the cigarette feelings waft over you and rejoice in the fact that you're gonna beat it. Laugh in it's face and imagine how fantastic you're gonna feel in a few weeks. Remember, if you still want one six weeks after you've stopped then spark one up.

This feckin monster is hounding me more than I thought, Im ok when Im out then someone will walk past with a ciggy the smoke smell is so powerful something Ive never noticed before.
Then in the shop at the till the ciggys are staring at me saying buy me buy me.

Ive thrown the ashtrays away and put the lighters out of sight cause everytime I see a lighter I want to smoke, I knew the mornings would be worst for me god knows what a heroine addict feels like coming off the gear, coming off ciggys is unbelieveable.

Im counting hours when I think of smoking saying to myself well youve gone 60 hours etc you didnt need one then so why now you didnt need them before you smoked why do you want one now.

This is the hardest thing ever, im ok for a while not thinking about it, then bingo it just pops in my head go the shop buy some ciggys now.

  :D

take no notice, long after 6 weeks your gonna get pangs sometimes very strong urges to light up a brogue and you'll buzz off beating it, then it goes.
