One painting, but had to separate it into two parts just for dramatic effect. The Torres drawing was more of a wallpaper-style, this is more of an epic feel much like a proper painting more suited to a canvas. I regretted starting on the Kop as a background. It was just too laborious and took too much time. Probably the first and last time I'll paint that again.

Superb mate. Hows about doing a tribute to jamie carra for his 500th game? knowing your talents i reckon it would look stunning and deserving for a legend that he is. Oh and looking forward to the torres one too

I'll certainly be doing one of Carragher, one of Rafa, and a few other ones of other legends. As for the Torres, one already exists of him. Just search the forum for it, or check out my other videos on Youtube and you'll see it.

It took me roughly 10 hours to do this. About 4 hours for Gerard himself and the rest on the Kop. I seriously regretted starting the Kop about half way through and rushed it a little. To be honest it didn't really matter if things were slightly off. I knew I was going to use a focus effect with Gaussian Blur so it didn't need to be that detailed, just have plenty of content and color for the correct effect. Either way, it's a good thing to leave certain areas rough looking. I think it's better that people realize that is is a piece of artwork rather than a photo otherwise what's the point? I could have just cut out a few images and and mashed them together, admittedly like I did with the badge on Gerrard's shirt simply because I wasn't working with the correct resolution to get it looking detailed enough in the first place.
