Rafa's interview on Talksport:

Int: Rafa, a 5-0 win and you're stood here smiling, do you think you'll still be standing here smiling in 2 weeks time?

Rafa: I think so. I have to go to my dentist though, so we will see :D .

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I really don't think you do feel sorry for Rafa, I think you crave managerial change so much that you probably want Rafa to get sacked in light of recent events - hence why you constantly emphasise the reasons G&H could use to justify replacing him.

I aint going to lie and say I am rafa's biggest fan.  I have not denied that I would like to see a New Manager brought in as I dont think Rafa will deliver us the title.  However I dont think he deserves all this and commands a lot more respect than his getting!!

Signing Klinnsmann would be almost like the Geordies signing up Alan Shearer. Jurgen's managerial career involves riding a wave of national pride into the semi-finals (during the quarters, the best side completely choked) in a World Cup staged at home. Jurgen has had no club experience and the Americans' revelation just proves that they know nothing about football. I think that Hicks and Gillett want to be the Merseyside version of Daniel Levy and Tottenham Hotspur.

I just hope that DIC get a move on and buy the yanks out. Its reported in one of the papers that the process of due diligence is actually taking place at the moment, although this has also been denied, I'm just hoping its true.

While I don't believe that everything will suddenly become wonderful and all our problems go away if DIC take over, I think that we will certainly see an end to the present state of affairs where its the off the field stuff rather than the games that are capturing the headlines.

well said jurgen has no club experience and prob the same reason why shearer does not want to become the manager of newcastle ,seeing as he does not really know whether he will be a good manager as a good player that e was  Not all great players have been good managers

Bad managers but good players : Grameme souness , bryan robson , kevin keegan , paul ince ,

I can only think of the one who has succeeded well has both a player and a manager and that would be kenny dalgish

I just wonder who is leaking all this information to the press, is it Moores or could it possibly be Parry trying to make up for his enormous cockup in recommending H&G in the first place.

Either way I think Parry is shady enough to come out of this smelling of roses and with a fat bank acount. As someone said where Parry's concerned he will always fall butter side up.

No doubt he has already cast himself as the hero and our saviour in all this mess and I expect which ever way it turns out he will pick the winning side.

Riise backing Rafa
Reds ace Riise vows to help out manager

Liverpool star John Arne Riise has admitted his surprise at how Rafa Benitez is being treated by the club's American owners.

Reds co-owner Tom Hicks raised further doubts over Benitez's long-term future at Anfield by revealing earlier this week that he and George Gillett had held talks with Jurgen Klinsmann about possibly replacing the Spaniard.

Benitez's position at Liverpool has been the subject of intense speculation for the last few months after his much-publicised row with the American owners over the club's transfer policy.

Both parties held clear-the-air talks in December with Benitez claiming any problems had been resolved.

However, Hicks' revelation of the talks with Klinsmann has thrown Benitez's future back into the spotlight.

Riise is disappointed that Liverpool's owners held talks with Klinsmann about Benitez's job, and the Norwegian insists all the players are behind the former Valencia coach and are determined to help him by getting results on the pitch.

I think there are plenty of people who believe he should be replaced for footballing reasons, yet their humanitarian side allows for sympathy towards Rafa due to the pressure he's been put under. On top of that, people may even change their stance slightly as they realise his job has been made harder.

That's not to say that the doubts don't still exist or that the criticism isn't still warranted, it just means that people are cutting someone some slack when he needs it.

Would you prefer for people to just carry on hammering him despite the fact that he needs a bit of slack?

DIC will soon enter the picture.

DIC can provide us with stability.

DIC will bring firmness and rigidity.

We so desperately need that, at the moment.
