He had the one chance from the header that went wide and Torres had a go at him, since then he seems to be trying to hard to set Torres up.

Take the chance your self Crouch, Torres will score with out your help  :D

Hopefully that will open the flood gates. We're getting forward well but just can't put things together in the final 3rd (what else is new).  Nicely taken goal from Babel, though.

I think we've been pretty poor TBPH but it's hardly surprising given the week we've had. It's the first chance I've had to have a look at us "live" for a few matches, and one or two things stick out like a sore thumb. Firstly i think we have a distinct lack of energy. You can talk all you like about 4-5-1's, 4-4-2's, zonal marking and the like but in a game of footnball you have to bust a gut sometimes and we ain't doing it. Both Grrard and Alonso aren't doing anywhere near enough graft for a central midfielder for me, while Pennant sits in his little comfort pocket on the touchline and doesn't get involved in the play. Neither full-back is prepared to track centrally and back themselves to recover their position, and we are playing in lines.

Half time in this game requires a bit of tea cups I would have thought. The whole team with the exception of the centre-halves and Babel (who continues to improve IMHO) need a rocket up their erse. They don't need a blackboard, or hand written notes, they need someone to tell them to fecking pull their finger out and do some collar. At the moment, Luton are working 20-30% harder than Liverpool which is cancelling out almost all the gulf in quality. Laziness never wins football matches.

Frustrating player Babel, but at least he seems to know where the net is. I think he deserves a run out as a striker soon. I was surprised how much room they have given Gerrard and Alonso in the first half. Does Riise only know one trick to get past a full back. Everytime he tries the same thing, nut meg the player and run. Comes off about once every 50 tries :D

i think we look a little down but i think we have had good spells alot of chances and if torres had a partner who can head the ball we be 4-0 up.

Watching him cross all day left side, each time poor, scores up front on the right. When was he a left winger?

(apart from the crosses hes been good today)

Riise works hard, if its a good enough excuse for Kuyt, its good enough for Riise.

Can't understand the fella Saint TBH. He's got a shot on him the like of which you've never seen, and he simply will not track inside fifteen yards occasionally to give himself the chance of recieving it in a position where he can get one away. It's not even like Luton are playing a wide right striker, he's just got to back himself to get back if it all breaks down. It's all about committing yourself to do a bit of work, something the team seem strangely reluctant to do.

I know what you mean mate, you probably wouldn't have seen it (MOTD), but they did a bit of a thing on Kewell a few weeks ago (after he had a good game) and that was what they picked up on, the way he comes off his line and gets in that space.

Gerrard!!!!  :D
