The man is loyal it just proves how much he loves this club and the supporters . Hes gone up in my estimation even more now
You've been of the belief for a while though that Rafa should have at the very least next season to develop a title winning side.
Has your position now changed?
Secondly, I think the hysteria is perfectly legitimate. Hicks shouldn't have come out in the press, especially at at time of relative crisis, and explained how they lined up another manager to replace Rafa. Do you accept this?
“He is a very impressive man. We attempted to negotiate an option, as an insurance policy, to have him become our manager in the event Rafa decided to leave our club for Real Madrid or other clubs that were rumoured in the UK press, or in case our communication spiralled out of control for some reason.”

you arrogant t w at

You do realise right that ad hominem attacks are a clear sign that someone has absolutely no credible arguments, right?honestly you should read some of the rubbish that you write.... its actually pathetic.....and patronising....go get a life! im sure u need a finer stage than a football forum to prove your no doubted genius.......
You're quite correct. I think I'll join the MENSA forums and offer my opinion regarding Rafa, Hicks and Gillett....then again I suppose I could just post those opinions on a Liverpool FC forum, where it belongs.and if you read any of my posts did i say or advocate burning any flag?
The forum mod already asked for that discussion to end.
Which I have complied with.
It's a dead issue.no i didnt, so get your facts right sunshine, I dont like the 2 americans and i dont the way they are running Liverpool Football club,
In that case, stop wasting your time making a fool of yourself by trying to insult me, and actually post something relevant to the thread.nor do I like some of the things that have been done by the United States under the name of freedom.
The policies of the United States are irrelevant to this discussion and forum.so get your facts straight and dont be so patronising.
as for a political debate....I wouldnt advice you to go down that route if i were u.......
Oh I tremble with fear.
wow!!! there is a surprise! another arrogant and patronising post from you....wow i bow to your incredible powers of intelligence...Im sure your mother is very proud of u, but have u any friends?
My problem is that they were talking to Klinsmann who, as a manager, has accomplished nothing

But not the level of hysteria I've seen today.
There is a certain way to conduct yourself as a Chairman and 'Custodian' of a football club, coming out in the media and stating how you had lined up another manager during the existing tenure of your current manager, is not the way to conduct yourself.

I am no "in Rafa we trust " fan Manhatten, but to say that he knew something would happen if we didn't qualify for the knockout stages is a bit harsh mate. At that time our priority was the league anyway (fans viewpoint anyway) and we certainly were in with a chance at that time.
I don't think that H&G were talking with Klinsmann because of how badly we were doing mate, more likely because Rafa had asked for transfer funds and exposed their financial problems in so doing.
Not qualifying for the CL is a problem, not getting to the knockout stage should not be seen as failure, in my book anyway.
To be honest mate, if they had been talking to Wenger , Ferguson or whoever is the best manager on earth, it WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN A SLY C*NTS TRICK, in my opinion anyway.

It's the financial pressure perhaps of the CL. It's vital that teams qualify for the latter phases. I said on a different thread that the Champions League has become a monster that's eating European football with each passing season.
