It would be lovely if he could hit the net every once and a while, though. ???

Yeah hit the net like Kuyt,Voronin and Crouch you mean?

I wonder who has scored the most goals this season out of them players?

Mmm let me think!!!

DONT THINK ! Feeeeel it is like a finger pointing away to the moon...

Love that quote ! anyway seeing as they were just highlights I cannot determine much of the attitudes of the players during this game only what people like nannyred have mentioned (those who went). Everyone had a bad day from the sounds of things. Maybe a paintballing trip wouldnt be a bad idea....

Not disagreeing that it's worth giving him a try up top, mate--I'm just getting frustrated seeing him ping shots wide when he gets himself in good scoring situations.  I guess that's a sign that I still have hope for him, whereas when Kuyt or Voronin get on the ball, I have zero expectation about them getting a shot on target.

Yeah fair enough but Babel does have class you can see it, He still has an inmaturity about him he just needs to learn.I have total faith in him.

In comparison to the same fixture last season, we were actually afforded much more space this time around, we just weren't able to carve out three or four clear-cut opportunities, which top sides usually do in these types of games.

This is the crux of our problem besides actually having the desire to play - the clarity of our chances just isn't good enough to win the league at this present moment.

Right ive calmed down a bit now but it just makes me upset when i see our players with no passion they should be honoured to pull that red shirt on.

Anyway the positive for me again today was Masher if we loose him it will be a miscarrage of justice,

Torres goal outstanding do you know what though we celebrated that going in like wed just won the champions league  :D

Ive jumped on Gerrards back in the heat of my frustration in not winnin but as our captain he should be boosting moral on the pitch cause if its not there with him what does that say to the other players.

I love my team with a passion and sometimes i find results and team performance like today very hard to take .

Bu tas i said before i will still back my team and Rafa cause i dont think theres anyone out there at the mo who could do a better job/

On a brighter note we didnt lose

As far as posters Hiemdell and Rock go how can you call yourselves supporters lads some of the comments youve both come out with are a :censored: disgrace ,

Back the manager and the team or support somone else maybe you should stick to wrestling Rock it seems you know more about that that LFC.

If we had have beat Wigan and Boro we would be 7 points behind United and Arsenal with a game in hand.

As it is if we win our game in hand we are 9 points behind the top two. Is there any hope still or am I just clutching at straws?

Not so much the clarity, or the frequency so much (Although a heck of a lot more would be nice). But in my view it is the excecution of some of these chances created that is hindering our progress. There are two, possibly three figures playing on the park that look anywhere near likely to bury one of those at any given time.

Emerald is allowed his opinion just as much as anyone, problem is no one listens to you if u curse and swear about it , and if you get aggressive, you're just branded as a hot head ! Everyone has their own opinion and no matter what u think you will not change their opinion.....................
So people will back benitez to the hills, others want him out , others are on the fence......
Benitez makes it hard for ppl like me to back him when he plays Voronin instead of Crouch...... Riise ahead of Babel...... Arbeloa at left back ....... constantly chopping a changing..........
What is his problem with Crouch , it borderline malicious................. lucas levia recently said crouch makes everyone laugh in training and is great fun , well he is very good player too -who knows where the goal is.... I cannot for the life of me see why it is not crouch and torres upfront all the time ROTATION IS THE BIGGEST LOAD OF nonsense everAND BENITEZ WILL CREDITED IN THE HISTORY BOOK 4 INVENTING IT!!!! all this plus the boring football and now 1 1/2months of poor results   will obviously get ppl calling for his head.......... FOR GOD SAKE IF HE WAS MANAGER OF TESCO IN MY TOWN HE WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE CHOP ALONG TIME AGO , NEVER MIND LFC!

I think it's a bit of both, we lack quality to create clear-cut chances in greater frequency, and we lack the quality to finish in as great a frequency as the teams we're supposed to be competing with. Our goalscoring stat's will bear that out. I'm of the view that if we had a couple more top quality players who can create and finish, we'd create more clear-cut opportunities and subsequently score more goals. Invariably we don't create as many clear-cut opportunities as the Manc's or Arsenal.
