Yea real has a proud tradition of sacking managers that win the league with "boring" football. That always works so "great" for them.

Wll Shuster is doing just fine this season.

Gerrard, Alonso, Torres, Mascherano could all potentially want to exit after the manager that brought them there in the first place (apart from Gerrard). Certainly Torres hinted at it earlier in the season if Rafa were to be sacked. Benitez has brought in some world class players for us. Can we easily replace them if they were to go? Simple answer is no. IMO, sacking Rafa will set us back five years and potentially plunge is into a nightmare scenario of no champions league football for a few at least a few years or worse. It's taking time, but Rafa is slowly finding us the players we need to take us in the right direction towards not only winning the PL, but the CL also.

Rafa can not keep his job by holding a gun ot our heads by saying that if he leave then somwe players will go with him.

It will be down to the new owners and new manager to keep the players and they will.

If the spanish brigade leave with rafa....then they can fuk off....

Yeah...it would be hard to replace reina and torres...but this club is bigger.

The way i see it...rafa ain't as headhunted as he thinks he is...i can't see him going to real madrid. I mean they sacked capello for playing boring football. So why would they hire rafa...?

I think rafa might go back to valencia or even real socided...  :wwww

rafa would last 1 season at r. madrid.  They wouldnt accept the negative boring football where emphasis is on defence. players like robinho probably wouldnt get a game under rafa.

Hence why they made two approaches for him.

I dont dispute that.  But capello won the league and was still given the boot.  I think the same would happen to Rafa. Real Madrid have a tradition where the team has to play a certain way.  Watching the side play like they have done this season its scary to think what rafa would do to that side.

Rafa certainly won't play any wingers....He will flood his midfield with central mid-fielders..

He might also ask RVN to do a Kuyt....ie play on the right wing.

heck...he might as well take kuyt with him....as he is the best headless chicken striker in the world now...  :wwww

4-0 to man utd.  A second half of just pure attacking football.  How depressing to watch other sides play the way we should play.

I am pretty sure a manager with Rafa's record will manage to find a job if he left Liverpool. The question is can we find a manager thats as good?

All this boll0x about players leaving is just that boll0x. The ones the new manager plays will stay, the ones he doesn't want or doesn't play will go. Maybe someone like Alonso may go because he's homesick but thats about it.

watching it.  light years ahead of us.

So nice to watch them play..
So attack minded.. so clinical..
Just score another.. 4-0 now
The passing is fantastic..

I like the way they more forward.. lawys options for the players with the ball.. All runing together, making it so difficult to defend against them. The attacking options are huge.. fantastic

i could see this one coming

riise left wing? why exactly? riise hasnt been good for years

and voronin up front? why exactly? he offers no threat and doesnt link things aswell as kuyt (not saying kuyt is good but i think hes more effective than voronin)

Was just thinking something there....

When Crouch couldn't get a goal for love nor money, Rafa insisted on playing him. When he started scoring, Rafa drops him!!

Did anyone see Stevie's attitude today? Not exactly a captain's performance, was it? I think Rafa has lost the dressing room - the players don't like the type of football (boring) that they are being forced to play.

The Pro-Rafa's can talk all they want about 'what if we win the champions league? What will you say then?' Rafa can win the champions league all he wants - it doesn't change the fact that we play the most boring football I've ever seen.

Why do average teams come away from our games with a result? Because we're so one-dimensional, so see-through.

I get the impression that Rafa would be happy as a 'capper' if we one every game 1-0 with only one shot on goal. It wouldn't bother him in the slightest. Me? I want my favourite team to start playing attractive football again. With the players we got on the books, it's more than feasible. I don't think Rafa trusts his players, though.

His selection today, again, was all wrong from the off.
1. Arbeloa at left back - a player who has been all at sea every time he's played anywhere other than right back. He had a stinker, yes, but so would Torres if you put him in the nets.
2. Riise, left midfield. An average-at-best left-back playing in midfield. You've a better chance finding your baggage in Lockerbie than Riise creating a chance. The man can only run in a straight line.
3. Voronin.
4. Those subs - what shape, formation were we playing in the last 15 mins? Can someone tell me that?
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!
