OK, so Rafa is an idiot. Sack him. Yeah. That'll work. If he wins the Champions League again, sure people will change their f*cking tune. Hypocrites.

When have I ever changed my opinion?? Why Don't you grow up and start treating people with some respect. How on earth can you still have faith in Rafa after today's game, the whole team lacks cohesion, playing ability, decent tactics and morale!!
Incidentally on today's form we are going to get fecking humiliated against Inter Milan, I'm dreading it at the moment, honestly.

You can f*ck off n' all.

Oh are we being mean and picking on you?
Why do you have this love in with Rafa, please explain it so that I might understand it.
Are you happy with todays game?
Are you happy that Voronin and Riise started?
In what other ways is Rafa so special?

Please if you have good enough arguments you might convince me because I, as opposed to you, actually have an open mind and don't need to resort to foul language when I disagree with someone.

For me the football has been average all season.  At the start we were winning games and not losing so were getting away with it.  Sometimes its real torture watching us play.  I dont understand how our team can play so badly.  What is happening on the training ground?

This is what happens when a does a sh1t load of press interview instead of coaching his team.

We need a new GM to take the buying of players and motivating them. This job has got too big for rafa...(well even he admitted he doesn't know what is wrong with the team).

Like how the yanks said it....rafa should stick to coaching. Maybe we have to bring in dalgish as a general manager who decides on the players and motivating them.

I'd say that a broken ankle and a broken foot come into it as well.

It's not like Rafa has told him to stop timing his tackles so well, or to pass the ball to the opposition.

My take is Rafa tries to mould all the players too much. He wants them to be the type of players he wants which in the end resulted in players not able to develop their full potential. Secondly, because of the moulding all the players are basically very similar in traits.. A striker is also a midfielder and defender. So now the players, they can't pass well, can't dribble well, and lack of creative ideas during attack. most players built on bulk but lost dexterity. Only one or two of the newer players still have it in them.

Rafa keeps saying we need a few more players to challange the title.. He wants to buy players that offers options. But we already have a lot of options in the team. What we need is not just options. He keeps moulding the players those options will not help us. What we need are players that offer a different dimension to our game play. Unleash those newer players and let them play the best way they can and adopt tactics around them. With a new dimension to our game coupled with options on the field, we can win difficult games.

Exactamundo! I was was watching on Setanta and the commentator said that Rafa looked like he was telling Finan what to do, he said that Finan is a professional footballer and should know what to do. I couldn't agree more

Look at Alonso - his first season here was genius. He has slipped a little every season since because I reckon Rafa is trying to mould him into a player he isn't.

It seems Rafa wants 11 robots out there. Every player has 4/5 things to do and a section of the pitch to do it in and nothing more.

The team that Rafa sets up is too limited by parameters. No player is allowed to have even a little flair or individuality - the only one allowed to have a brain is Senior Benitez.

Thats exactly right.  Rafa wants 11 robots who all do what he says.  No imagination, no flair, no trying things out of the odinary.  Just do what the Manager says and thats it.  Its pathetic but will not change as its been that way for years.  Creative freedom isnt allowed under Rafa!!

Torres goal was fkn ace though wasn't it. The leagues gone, so a draw away even against a crappy Boro isn't the end of the world..... now. We just need to start playing a bit better and the results will come.

How is it, that in Istanbul, against all the odds at half time, 45000 fans can still have believe in their side and sing their hearts out. Yet come on this forum on match day at the end of a fairly bad performance with a defeat or draw and all of a sudden the team is sh*t and the manager has to go. Fair enough, it's a string of poor performances, but as it happens often in life, people do go through bad times. What's important is that they get the support to get them through it. Where's the f*cking support now, eh?

That is one hell of an analysis...and i agree with it. esp that part that all the defenders and midfielders and attackers are doing the same thing....their 1st priority is not to concede any goals.

We have officially become the most boring club in the world....we are gonna lose a lot of oversees fans by playing like this (the owners won't be happy with this)....

We didn't draw today because of an absence of flair. We drew today because our players lobbed the ball up in the air to no-one in particular. I don't believe for a second that Rafa's sending his team out to do that.

This is what happens when our passing game turns to sh*t. A player gives the ball away a couple of times at close range, and then the next time it's a hopeful punt forward. Maybe having Crouch on the pitch would make that less of a problem, but when Voronin's the man under it against two decent size defenders, we're going to keep going backwards.

Oh I was hoping you were going to tell me why Rafa is so great, you told me how he was great on one night nearly 3 years ago, and I agree that he was, that was an unbelievable night but owed far more to Stevie than to Rafa.
In any case you need to stop living in the past and focus on the trouble we are in now. Rafa is not motivating the team and he is picking the wrong players and formations, that is why me and a lot of other people want rid of him.

Please try and answer without swearing   :oh:

He'll have a grudge against a lot of people on here, then, reading some of the gibberish.

Hell, I can barely speak proper English at the best of times.
