There is one thing certain tho is is that Rafa won't be in charge next season albiet that he doesn't win the champions league again.

Yeah.....me think that too.

This is mirroring houllier's last season.... where the players just gave up as they didn't have any believe in the manager.

Gerrard is merely going to motion now. You can just see in the last 10 mins..when he showed his class.

The way i see it...even 4th won't save rafa (it shouldn't)...Last season we got 3rd..so 4th is a massive step down given how much we have spent this season.

But if rafa gets us the champions league....well that is another issue all together...

OK, so Rafa is an idiot. Sack him. Yeah. That'll work. If he wins the Champions League again, sure people will change their f*cking tune. Hypocrites.

When have I ever changed my opinion?? Why Don't you grow up and start treating people with some respect. How on earth can you still have faith in Rafa after today's game, the whole team lacks cohesion, playing ability, decent tactics and morale!!
Incidentally on today's form we are going to get fecking humiliated against Inter Milan, I'm dreading it at the moment, honestly.

You can f*ck off n' all.

For me the football has been average all season.  At the start we were winning games and not losing so were getting away with it.  Sometimes its real torture watching us play.  I dont understand how our team can play so badly.  What is happening on the training ground?

Does it matter ? Control the game...create a few chances... and he will blame the defence for conceding the goal.

Same sh1t....different game...

and all this in broken english....

Thinkpad wrote:I am pretty amused.. It seems to happen very often when Rafa is manager... Most of the players came to Liverpool with decent potential. They started well but soon "develop" into mediocrity.

My take is Rafa tries to mould all the players too much. He wants them to be the type of players he wants which in the end resulted in players not able to develop their full potential. Secondly, because of the moulding all the players are basically very similar in traits.. A striker is also a midfielder and defender. So now the players, they can't pass well, can't dribble well, and lack of creative ideas during attack. most players built on bulk but lost dexterity. Only one or two of the newer players still have it in them.

Rafa keeps saying we need a few more players to challange the title.. He wants to buy players that offers options. But we already have a lot of options in the team. What we need is not just options. He keeps moulding the players those options will not help us. What we need are players that offer a different dimension to our game play. Unleash those newer players and let them play the best way they can and adopt tactics around them. With a new dimension to our game coupled with options on the field, we can win difficult games.

:bowdown

Exactamundo! I was was watching on Setanta and the commentator said that Rafa looked like he was telling Finan what to do, he said that Finan is a professional footballer and should know what to do. I couldn't agree more

Look at Alonso - his first season here was genius. He has slipped a little every season since because I reckon Rafa is trying to mould him into a player he isn't.

It seems Rafa wants 11 robots out there. Every player has 4/5 things to do and a section of the pitch to do it in and nothing more.

The team that Rafa sets up is too limited by parameters. No player is allowed to have even a little flair or individuality - the only one allowed to have a brain is Senior Benitez.
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

You are beginning to sound like rafa.....Hyppia wasn't the reason we didn't win....its due to our so called attacking players...who just don't create any goalscoring chances anymore.

We can't just hope that our defence don't concede any goals and get a fluke goal on a break..... (sometimes i think this is rafa's tactic)... :eyebrow

I'm not pinning anything on Hyypia at all, and in all fairness he had two great efforts on goal today. We really have missed Agger, that's my point. Once Hyypia found his feet this season he's done alright for us, but look around the top of the table and tell me he'd even get on the bench at any of Arsenal, Man U or Chelsea. The reality is that he's not a top 4 player anymore, but he's the best back-up we've got, and he's done all we can ask of him.

We need to get out of our own half though, and whenever he's in the side we're automatically 5-15 yards deeper, which means Gerrard's coming deeper, which means our strikers are isolated, etc, etc.

The key thing that's wrong is a complete lack of accuracy in our passing though, which is killing every move we make. All too often we've got players finding the opposition with the ball, and in many cases the ball wouldn't have found one of our lads even if they hadn't been there.

I have been wondering too? Maybe they just hit the gym to work out.
After all Rafa likes them fit and strong.. Skill comes a distant 3rd..

Emerald chill buddy we are all upset at the moment at the end of the day..........Yes it's night i knowit's night, but we do all want the best for the club and some people views will always clash mate.

I am reading some posts on here at the moment that are making me giggle. Yes i am down to mate but we have to as a club, team and people keep believing until such times change. look on the bright side mate we gained a point and from what i see that was an acheivment after the way the team played.

Chin up mate
