I have a quick question regarding Babel, why do so many insist he be given a run upfront is it because the other three forwards are not good enough or because that is his position ?

He may well have played as a forward at his previous club or at International level but from what I have seen of him so far he would offer us no more of a goal threat than Cisse, infact he is very similar in the way that he has no composure ( Derby goal aside ) and prefers to go for sheer power than to place/pass it into the net.

Is it just out of sheer desperation that we should give him a run upfront or am I missing something ?

I am pretty sure that if Rafa saw any sort of forward quality in him he would give him a run upfront just like Wenger saw Henrys quality and switched him from a winger to a forward

i worry that in rafas time he has outspent wenger and pretty much spent as much as fergason yet we are leagues apart from them in terms of consistency and footballing ability

like i said luton today were playing better football than us, their first team cost 600k, our first team cost 60 million

yes but rafa isn't wenger is he and yes babel is a forward every one in holland knows it , its just typical rafa to try and be to smart about some thing.

Also to be fair we havent seen much of babel up front have we apart from o the CL when he got 2 class goals and almost scored a hat trick but dont listen to me.
