I reckon Le Tallec is kicking himself now that he is out on loan. What a chance he has blown

Whats to panic about?? He ain't daft.

You watch on Saturday, he'll roll a team out which will have restored confidence and we'll beat Spurs by 3 clear goals.

Might be a bit tight in midfield but it'll be sorted.

I`m confident that Spurs won`t have a chance fighting of Liverpool on Saturday! We all seem to agree that we are in the need of a new signing on the midfield but with Finnan (if he is still around by then) as an alternative as a right midfielder and also counting Kewell, Gerrard, Biscan and Didi fit and well, it shouldn`t be too big a problem even if there are no new signings before kickoff Saturday.

I`m not sure that it is such a good idea, since it`s awaymatch and all, but "the worst case scenario" with 3 midfielders making room for both Cissè, Owen and Baros in the starting 11, I`m sure would make the match memorable, at least, when it comes to offensive football :)

Expect the attacks to be heavily supported from left and right backs Riise should start.

Looks to me like he wants to win the midfield and let the flanks link up so the forwards can look for space with their runs which is the way forward.

I think we all expect some signings as well

we must have a couple of midfielders lined up. why else would we let cheyrou, le tallec and murphy go when we also have smicer injured?

Maybe we are not so many in numbers. But would Cheyrou, Le Tallec, Murphy improve Liverpool in the long term? I think not. It is better to have a smaller stronger squad than one full of mediocre underperformers.

how can you pass judgement on cheyrou and le tallec. they've hardly been given a chance to prove themselves have they?

Could be hard short term but loaning cheyrou and Le Tallec is a good decision as they could be improved players coming back into a improved first team.

Le Tallec definitely as he is still young and very talented

Bruno well this is the last chance saloon to be honest if he wants a first class career

Agree, Le Tallec should be given a chance since he has the potential to become a very good player but as for Cheyrou, he is just not good enough. Out of all the outcast of LFC players, I think he rank right up there with Diouf as the worse LFC player. I do think Biscan is better than Cheyrou even though I don't like him that much. Just hope Cheyrou will be gone for good.:)

The good thing with a new manager is a clean slate as Cheyrou was well thought of but it didnt work out under GH

He either proves himself or gets sold at the end of the season either way we cant lose

Le Tallec on the other hand is a future star and loaning him is a good developmental tactic

Anfieldadorer asked if I think Riise should be playing, and yes I do think that he should start. I`ve always been a bit sceptic about his defensive skills, that is when he seems to loose his head completely and then never seems to be where he`s supposed to, but in spite of that; If he continues playing like he finished last season, he and Kewell would make a left side that doesn`t stand back for any of the other left wings in the Premiership.

But I don`t think he should play in the midfield - I hope Rafa will keep on using Kewell there.

By the way I totally agree in loaning out players like LeTallec and Bruno. The current "value" for a player like Bruno has to increase if he is to be given more time on the pitch. I can`t imagine that he will be given more chances this season, so lend him out and hopefully there is someone who sees his potencial elsewhere before next season. LeTallec will be back, and given a few years he will be a great asset to Liverpool
