Fair comment Emerald give him time i hope am wrong and you can come back and buzz of me and ill look like a complete :censored:, but i dont think it's going to happen, untill we get a manager who will stick with the strongest 11 player's untill someone drop's down tired or injured, then changes the team. Didnt we once win the league with 16 player's, now come on that was with a good strong manager, not someone who carnt admit he is wrong.

You've a short memory, son. Three years ago, Rafa delivered us arguably the greatest night in this clubs history. I will always remember him for it, and so long as he manages our team, he will always have my support even if is difficult to fathom at times.

I'll bet three years ago you were shouting his name about the place like he was God or something. Now all people like you do is moan because he's not making much progress in the league. NEWS FLASH: we've been struggling for 14 years in the league before he came.

Yes but that doesnt mean Rafa gets unlimitied time.  This is his 4th season.  How long do u wanna give him before we actually challenge for the title.  All I wanted this season was to be in the race for the title.  Think back to the summer and all the talk of us fighting for the title and arsenal fighting for 4th with spurs. That talk looks real stupid now.

If we finish 4th is that acceptable?  Do we now see this as a success.

Even when were unbeaten I wasnt happy as the style of football was a joke.  Now we are losing there is no positives.

I've maintained for a while now that we won't win the title. I've said that our goal should be getting close by at least 6 points behind the eventual winners. If this happens and we win one of the other competitions we are in, I'd see that as progress, yes. I'm not saying Rafa should have unlimited time, but he should at least be given another two more seasons if what I said previously ends up being an eventuality.

can u honestly see us getting within 6 points of the title winners?  I cant see that at all.  If we progress in the CL i can see league games being take less seriously by rafa as the title has gone.

Time will tell, mate. It's certainly a lot more realistic than hoping for the league this season at any rate.

Think i'm right in saying we are only 1 point better off than we were at this stage last season. Thats not what I call progress, can't help but wonder what would have happened if we at least still had Pako with us.

I just can't fathom Rafa at times and tonight was feeling like the straw that broke the camels back. I like Rafa but I just can't help but wonder if he has taken us as far as he can go. Fact is now that if we want to challenge we need to be practically unbeaten to the end of the season, and then hope that some of the others drop points. We all know that simply won't happen.

As it stands we are sitting in a battle for fourth place, this is not where my beloved club should be, we should be right up in the mix, fighting for the chance to win the title and with the other three big teams worrying about what our results are going to be

Right now they are simply looking back at us without a care in the world, I wouldnt be surprised if Avram was more worried about Man City than us at the moment. That, i'm afraid, is a reality, one that just doesnt sit well with me at all.

Reading, Birmingham, Wigan, Portsmouth away, spurs, all games we should have won and all games we have nobody to blame but ourselves for not taking the points.

The players are there but they are not being used in the right way at the moment.

I want my pride back, I want my belief back, I want the club that I hold in such high regard back where they belong and I just don't know if thats with Rafa at the helm anymore.

i said a while ago we wont win this league with him as boss. I hoped I was wrong but it seems i wasn't. Rafa is a top drawer manager and we really fell on our feet landing him as boss, but sadly, he just hasn't got whats needed to challange Fergason or wenger. He has pulled off some great results in champs.league and other competitons but to win the league he's just missing something, that final bit of polish that would make him a league champions manager. this isnt a doom and gloom post or a 'sack rafa' one either, it's just an observation by me.

he doesn't possess what it takes to nail the league and I wouldnt be surprised if he didnt realise that soon and go back to spain to manage, that would be a sad day for us but hey ho.

What a good start to 2008, Its :censored: over before its began!! Why could Rafa not win tonight with the team he put out, not one :censored: Wigan player would get into Liverpool's squad, not alone the first 11, why? ????? Give Rafa time? you don't need time to beat teams like bloody Wigan, even if it was Rafa's first game in charge, he/we should still beat :censored: Wigan!!

he fukked it with the ryan babel and lucas signings

i like babel and lucas but are we really in a position to spend 17 odd million on youngsters for the future when we have massive problems out wide

we really needed one world class winger instead of 2 promising kids for the future....both i rate but we are still crying out for the winger
