RAFA WARY OF GRAZ THREAT
Mark Platt 09 August 2004
Rafael Benitez has warned that AK Graz pose a real threat to Liverpool's Champions League aspirations and that the Reds must concentrate fully if they are to progress.
Benitez and his squad fly out to Austria today ahead of tomorrow night's crucial third qualifying round tie and the boss is not expecting an easy ride.
He says: "I have seen two videos of them and read the reports from our scouts.
"They have eight to ten internationals and a centre forward who scored 27 goals last season. They also won the league and cup double last season.
"Another problem for us is that they've already played three or four games in their league. Obviously we don't start until Saturday, so may be a bit off the competition level pace.
"They also have the advantage of having the same coach and same players, whereas we have gone through a lot of change.
"For me they are a very dangerous team because they play well and are aggressive. For us, it is important we concentrate."
