Yeah best of wishes to all and sundry off here. It's been a quiet one this time round, me and Sarah having a couple of beers and watching of all things the Royal Variety Performance from Liverpool followed by Elton John's sixtieth birthday concert in New York. In years gone by we'd be in the pub, banged out and getting ready to get rid of em all so the staff party could get going. Makes me all melancholy thinking about it TBH and I think it'll be a while before I get used to Crimbo away from home.

On a much brighter note, the computer finally packed up this morning so I went down the road and bought another one today. It was a bit pricey (everything is a bit dear over here) but it seems to be a completely different animal to the last one, and I've noticed that those little videos that that bloke puts up during the matches actually play on my screen now (they never ever used to). Also the screens kind of flat so you can push the desk back flush with the wall now so you haven't got to squeeze round the door when you come in the room which is a definate plus. I'm even thinking that that stream mullarkey might even work on the thing now. The next time a game comes on which is not bang in the moiddle of the night I'm gonna give it a go (maybe this time Saint, I knew it wasn't your fault mate).

Anyway, I know it's early but Happy New Year everyone. Do yourselves a favour and go out and have a few tonight, then have a few more. Cheers to all.

I will  be going out to pick my kids up at about 4 o'clock in the morning, so I will be having a quiet New Years eve.

Happy new year to everyone, and thanks for making this year a little better than it might otherwise have been.

Well thankfully we had planned a quiet New Years Eve in as well, given that we are smack in the middle of a blizzard here and the roads are a mess.  Good luck to everyone hitting the party circuit tonight!

Happy New Year to everyone--enjoy yourselves tonight and stay out of the jails and infirmaries. :D

Happy New Year, folks.

I have to work tonight (if you can call what I do "work").

(No rest for "burger-flippers" here in "Nottingham", you know!)
