BTW, i prefer to win 1-0 all the games. Not losing 0-1 and win 8-0 the next game
It's really Rafa's job now to enforce consistency

You could of had Pele playin for us today and still we would of had a bad performance
ASi said in one of my posts before you have to give some credit to Paul Jewell hes got Derby fighting for there lives we were never gonna beat them again by a big score and a lot of teams who play them now wont find it easy but so far this Chrimbo 2 games 6 points what more do you want

how about 6 points and a team that looks like they know what they are doing![]()
lets not get too excited about the 6 points, we played derby today ffs, firmly at the bottom of the table and 3 points should be a guarantee for any team with title aspirations, we made hard work of it and were very very close to 2 dropped points again.
sorry nanny, you know i am scouse, you know i love the club, but at the moment i just dont see us going forward, we get a few good results and then take a step backwards

Hope rafa finally learns...don't fu@k with the team.....
1)No more Alonso and Gerrard Midfield combo (derby were over-running us)
2)Keep Riise at LB..... Auerlio is a worse LB than Riise
3)No more Babel on the wings please.......rafa you are gonna spoil his career.
4)Kewell, Gerrard, Torres, Carra, Mash and Benayoun(Pennant) have to start all our league games....doesn't matter if we play against wigan or fulham. The other players are not good enough to replace them.
We were over-run by derby in midfield.....can u believe it ?

The fact is, we've won the game, despite not playing well which should be regarded as a good sign. I've lost count of the number of times down the years that Chelsea, United and Arsenal have gone away in the last few years, played sh#te and yet scored a late winner.
I'm telling you now, we were cruising in the first half and but for some poor finishing we would have been out of sight. Alonso was class in the first half but then inevitably tired in the second. It's obvious to me that Mascherano and Alonso should be our first choice central partnership with Gerrard left off the leash to attack from a wide area. With Gerrard and Alonso central we got overrun at times by a team that are bottom of the league.
Second half we were absolutely woeful though. I mean we couldn't believe what we were watching. I actually said to my mate that I could see Derby equalising and within about five minutes they had (even though it looked like really poor defending from where we were sat). Certain players just aren't up to the job. I defended the decision to start Voronin in his correct position but he was really really poor. Riise was gash again. Babel should not be started wide because he is not a winger. He did nothing except miss a sitter in the first half.
I'm not going to have a go at the manager for this. He picked a really strong team and if I was him I'd be bollocking the players after the game because this should really be a wake up call for them. It still defies belief to me that before this game, some people were advocating resting Torres and Gerrard. Once again, despite not having their best games, theose two have provided our real pieces of quality in the game. They just can't be left out under any circumstances. I've criticised Gerrard in the past for his leadership (or lack of) but today he really took the bull by the horns in the last 15 minutes and dug us out of the mire again. We are very lucky to have him.
Anyway, 3 points is 3 points and we move on. Credit to Derby by the way. You can see that Jewell has already had an impact there and their attitude was unquestionable. As for their fans though, the less said the better.
Roll on Man City.
wow from derby to middlesborough in just over one hour

For a Brazilian, Auerlio sure can't pass and Babel was aweful at the wing!!! The only saving grace was the 3 lucky points...thank god for Gerrard. Second best (and nearly loss) against the bottom team who can't score at home that's saying something...I wonder what was in Rafa's thoughts...
Dude..u echo my points.
For Gerrard to play to his potential, he needs Mash behind him.
For me babel is a waste of money...I know ppl here are saying give him time...but my thoughts are he is not good enough. Maybe he could make a good striker (but he has to play there for me to have an opinion about him)..but rafa keeps playing him on the wings...and babel keeps doing a "sissoko"
If Rafa hadn't bought Lucas (8 million) and Babel (11 million)...we could have bought a 19 million star player....but rafa decided to buy quantity instead of quality..and now he is saying we need to buy more 20 million players![]()
How about getting rid of the deadwood 1st ? I mean balance the
books before buying. The owners already have enough problem paying for the stadium....
2 questions...
1) Who do you consider to be the deadwood?
2) What is your definition of 'deadwood' in this context?
