We need more triangles in our play.  They really need to cut down on these long balls.

I think I might hit the booze and celebrate the three points. Might as well.

Also what was with the anti scouse hosility from the derby fans? they where as bitter as the bluesh!te and Mancs with their songs.

The irony of it all when they have a scouse manager  :Oo:

Slating Alonso?

:no

It's his first Premiership start for months FFS, he's hardly going to be at the top of his game

Slating him? I am just telling it like it is.
If he can't be on top of his game then he better prepare to take some stick. This is no reason, it is just an excuse..

So what you're actually saying is that Alonso should be at the top of his game despite the fact it's his first Premiership game after a long injury layoff??

You clearly know nothing about football and you certainly must never have played the game yourself.

No.. If you read properly it says if he doesn't play on top of his game he must be willing to take the stick. Whether he is injured before is inmaterial. Sisoko hurt is eyes so now we are expecting him to play with limited capabilities because he has injured before? Do we still continue to have such expectation next season.

In a nut shell, getting back from injury does not give you an excuse for bad performance. You may not be at the top of your game but that is no excuse for bad performance. Know the difference.

Its a sign of good team that can play that badly and STILL get the result that it needed.  We already had a plus 6 goal difference against them most teams wont get more  than 7 so taking all 6 points from Derby is all you CAN do.  At the end of the day it doesn't matter that we played like cr@p, because we have shown that we are capable of turning right around and playing some inspiring football again.  Rafa might have gotten lucky today or gotten away with it today, but he DID get lucky and DID get away with it.  Now we just need to focus on putting the best possible team out there to win at City.

here here mate

that Barnes guy missed a glorious header to take a deserved win for them...and you say we did well to take all 3 points because we were lucky in injury time??? get some perspective mate...this performance is just not good enough for a Liverpool team and against another team we would have left with tails between our legs! The players are paid well to put up a solid performance and today many just don't show any pride wearing the red shirt today...and that's unacceptable end of!!!  :veryangry

To be honest mate, I won't be reading any of your posts 'properly' in future.  Waste of my time.

Whether it is your opinion that Alonso played well or played poorly today, the fact is that he is only just back from a long injury and will take time to get back to top form.  It is not an excuse it is a fact - know the difference.  If you had ever played the game to any level then you'd understand this very simple point.

Well said

Far too often people in here assume that to comfortably beat a relegation struggler all we have to do is turn up.

Haven't seen the game but from the comments in here it wasn't one of our best, WTF, we came away with three points , get over it.
