If Inter Milan and AC Milan hate each other, why do you share a stadium?

Two of the world's great clubs should surely have their own unique stadiums.

I've always wondered that too Manhattan.  I could never see us sharing the stadium with blueshyte!  But as someone had mentioned before their players switch to their rivals like it's no big deal.  Maybe the financial aspect is more important than loyalty.

no italian team owns a stadium. they are all owned by the cities.
neither inter nor milan are sharing they own stadium. it is borrowed from the city of milan.

moratti anyway had a project of inter own stadium but there are so many problems in building a new one ... available spaces, roads, ... and nobody would like to abandon the historical s. siro.

i`m sure inter fans here will set me straight but i saw a t.v program once about the san siro and apparently both sides hate it.
the pitch is always in a terrible state (which doesnt suit either team who have traditionally liked to knock it about) because they built the stands too high to allow enough daylight onto the pitch.
even the seats were a point of contention, they had to use nuetral colours as not to offend either club and because of it the grounds doesnt `feel` like a home ground to inter or a.c.
it said because the other team played there every other week the fans couldnt really take to it to their hearts as their clubs own `fortress` so to speak.

nobody hates s. siro. personally, i love it. but there are big problems with sun light and wind not reaching very well the soil. therefore the field is always a :censored:. it happened during the construction of the third ring of seats during italia '90 world championships

I'm proud to meet such a legendary team in our way to the champions league.
It will be a great match i'm sure of it.
Like someone pointed out , we are not like ac milan , our playstyle is a lot more similar to an english team , maybe a bit more tactical.
And i would like to remember to that guy who said that watching us vs arsenal didn't made him much impression , that was pre-league preparation , with half team still on vacations.
Would also like to show off some statistics :
Inter is still unbeaten in 07/08 season in Serie A matches ,
the only lost is the first UCL game vs Fenerbache , wins from 10 games in a raw , won vs all more competitive italian teams , except juventus (1-1).
I perfectly know , that Liverpool experience , UCL wise , is a factor that makes the match even harder.
But to be sincere i really hope we can beat you guys and finally (after so many years) get our hands back on the big ears cup

ps. i'll never thank you enough for Istanbul.

Cheers!

So if neither club owns the stadium does that mean neither team collect gate moneys or less?

i think its shared like 50% of the total after both teams have played

The best stadium story is definitely Juventus.

They moved to that awful Della Alpi stadium.

Now they are sharing with Torino while their new stadium is being developed, which will be half the capacity of the Della Alpi, albeit with stands closer to the pitch and no running track.

no, they simply borrow the stadium from the city for some seasons. and they totally manage everything inside (tickets, security, ...).
inter and milan share some expenses (stadium care, field care, ...)

is this really the liverpool we are going to meet in CL ? :Oo:
and is this the team that is supposed, in your opinion, to win against inter ?  :Oo:

are you serious when you say that this team will throw inter out of CL ?  :D

We don't "Throw teams out" of competitions mate, thats left to the Football governing bodies. So as long as you stay clear of any corruption you should be fine  :;):    oh the irony of it all.

rofl , man we are not Juventus (friendly called in italian Rubentus aka Thieventus) , and even we are not the team with the dwarvish politician president (ac milan).

We are the glorious FC. Internazionale.
And ffs don't even try to " mix " us with those people.

I respect much Liverpool team , and i think that it will be a great match both at the Magic Anfield Road , and in the Football Theatre
the " Meazza " San Siro Stadium.

All my hopes go for a win , obviously , but i do not agree with my
" collegue " that is making some irony around today match with derby county , some bad day can come for everyone , and Liverpool's UCL experience is well known to everyone.

Just one thing , be sure your team will make the best game of the year , bcoz i'm pretty sure that Inter will try to do the same.

We really want that Cup back.

off day mate , that performance was to raise the inter hopes , we did not want to show them our true standard :p  , just kidding , we were playing badly yes? surely inter as well have played like this before and yet we still got the 3 points .
