At the end of the day we have shown time and time again that we can beat anyone in this competition. Inter are a god side but lets face it they only got a hold of the leageu in recent times thanks to the match fixing scandal, otherwise they are pretty much as vunderable as the rest. Come on lads lets have these cheating :censored:!

You don't know anything about the match fixing scandal so you'd better shut up. Inter was the only team not involved in cheating and that's the reason why Juve and Milan fans hate us. I wouldn't say that we're just a good team but a great one and we will show it against the Reds. Forza Inter!

Well I know it wasnt until Juve and Milan got knocked down that Inter managed to get to the top for the 1st time in how many years? Your only trophey before that was an Copa Italia and a UEFA cup how many years ago? I cant understand how Moratti :censored: away so much money on big signings.

Please you cant compare to Liverpool.  :buttrock

you are talking about moratti's issues as an ignorant person. you talk about money spent from moratti but you do not know that
- cambiasso: came for free, end of contract with real
- maxwell: came for free, end of contract with ajax after serious injury
- maicon: came almost for free
- ibraimovich: came for 19mil euros ... peanuts for such a player
- dacourt: came for free, end of contract
- crespo: free, borrowed from chelsea
all the other players were payed almost peanuts
the only serious buy was suazo (the one that will punish you in anfield road) this summer (13mil eu or something similar ...)

how much did you pay for torres ?????

don't repeat like a donkey what you read on berlusconi's newspapers

no doubt 65 is going to figure more and more as the games approuch, not sure how much the inter fans coming onto our forums know about it but there is still a little ill feeling from the older liverpool supporters as to what happened when we last met inter, im not saying it will effect the outcome of the games, its more likely going to give the games an added edge with the supporters so making both games great atmospheres.

im glad we got them to be honest, yes they will be tough games but you only have to look back at our recent CL record to see we have met and beaten some of the best teams in europe, welcome to the forums all those fans of inter who come here to talk about the games and join in the friendly banter.

Bill Shankly said at that time of the games against Inter, "I was told before the game that no matter what, we would not win this game."

Liverpool 3 v 1 Inter

Lets hope history does not repeat itself.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”

I hope our fans dont get caught up in any malarky when they go to Milan. After what happened with Dida, they pelt their own players even. I remember watching Football Italia and watching Ronaldo running to his jeep having bottles and things being lobbed at him from Inter fans. I think they were playing really :censored: at that time lol

I predict a narrow win for LFC.

0-0 in Italy.

1-0 at Anfield.

I don't remember any bad things happening to the English fans in Milan. Moreover Inter fans like Liverpool a lot since they defeated Ac Milan in 2005. Not all fans here are like the Roma ones.

If you want to bring up "now", let's face it, Inter are only Italy's number one team because AC Milan and Juventus decided to fiddle the system and self-destructed. Inter have been winning titles by default. It's like a boxing challenger winning a title by forfeit because the champion slipped and broke his hip.

Before 2006, Inter hadn't won Serie A for seventeen years, just like our gap between titles. They've had some success in the UEFA Cup (winning it the same amount of times as us) but their last European Cup success occured before man had set foot on the moon.

As for the San Siro, it resembles a couple of giant concrete slabs with some big red scaffolding around it.

What a civilized person you are coming on here and calling us b!tches.  Will you people ever learn?  We got the same :censored: from Barca fans last year and just look at what happened to them.  We went to Camp Nou and we kicked the sh!t out of much more stronger team than you.  I guess you'll just have to experience it for yourself.

Nay bother - we've generally got a good track record against Italian teams.....

Are you sure?
semifinals 1964/1965
Liverpool -Inter 3-1
Inter-Liverpool 3-0
fin
Inter Benfica 1-0
I think that they will be two good games. We(Inter), this year, are more strong then ever, it w'ill not be simple to beat us!

How many players from 1965 do you have in your current first team squad?

Listen guys, there is really no need for this match to be turned intoa Italy vs england type thing, let alone bringing up old fans misbehaving, coz yes these days the EPL is very safe for fan but lts not forget that if we are talking histrory then by far nothing wil rival hillsbrough or heysel...that said can we talk about fotball??? or you guys just like to argue?

Pls read about the italian football scadals, fo th last 20 ys the serie A was dominated (as well as the rest of italy) by a monopoly run by FIAT (largest employer and high influence in media and govt) who IS Juventus and BERLUSCONI  (richest man in italy as well as most powerful media magnate as well as under corruption allegations and oh i forgot, Ex twice PRIME MINISTER) how could we compete?

In 1998 for example we were robed the leagu wehn a penalty on ronaldo was not given that was so obvious that even in parliamant a fight broke out...

The hard years are hard for us to talk about as YES we DID USED TO spend a lotof money for nothin! But now no more!

Berluscni is no longer PM and his 'world champion' team of fags is over 20 point behind us in the league....so plese we are not here to talk history, but if you do want to bring up old stuff then at least get infomed before posting rubbish!

That said we are here becuse we like LFC bst in the EPL, and it should be a glorious event...and i dunno how guys can slate San siro (ok the actuall grass on the pitch sucks) but the stadium is awesome, the true fans who will travel (not the spotty kids who are only fans on the internet) will find out that they dont call it the OPERA HOUSE of football for nohing..its a monumental stadium and yes its a lot of concrete but the original capcity used to be over 90,000 so i dunno if they coulda built it any other way..Anfield is true is  prettier yes, but you have no 'curve'  and its easy to make a pretty pitch if its only for 40-50000....

I hope this is the last post i have to talk history and the rest can be about the match itself.

By the way, the same way we are here you are welcome to our www.interfans.org boards...

anyway its late and i hope tomorrow the posts are about football not italian corruption etc etc..goodnight all

There is no point in saying the usual, your underrating my team etc.. Its quite clear that both sets of fans will have a majority that will massively undermine the other team despite both being among the best in the world.

You will also have you England Vs Italian type. Just ignore the ignorant is all I can say.

However I feel my must add something to this, I have noticed people are glad to have Inter over Milan. Last year we beat them by 27 points, beating tem twice in the league. This season we are ALREADY 19 points ahead. I am quite sure that in recent times we have the edge over Milan.

Another thing are people saying inter are only on top of serie A due to juve and Milan. This is quite unfair. Sure we didnt do very well in europe, but last season we won 17 games in a row in the league. The most of any european countries history (beating Bayerns and Real's previous record of 15). Even juve couldnt accomplish this playing in B.

Anyway enough about that. Potentially we have a cracker game on our hands, if liverpool have their day they can beat anyone in the world but on the other hand the same goes for us. All we can do is hope that Rafa and Mancini dont give us a borefest, and actually utilise these 2 squads fantastic range of players.

Our fans respect each other and this is what seperates us from that cheating scum that is juve and milan. Of course, we share a beer after the game. Best of luck.
