Like we were unlucky against Man Utd, and in most other games in which we don't prevail. I can't help thinking that particular line wears a bit thin. I don't criticise Rafa at all for the team selection , but we weren't "unlucky" come on.
We were unlucky not to beat Chelsea at Home in the league, but we've had our share of rub this season as well. Villa fans still talk about the award of Gerrards free-kick in the opening game, I have absolutely no doubt that the bitters still talk about the non-penalty in the dying seconds of the derby when Carragher wrestled Lescott to the ground. Blackburn probably think they were a feaction unfortunate to hit the post twice in the first half against us, while feck only knows how unlucky we would have felt if we had gone to the Emirates, had all the posession, drew 1-1 but hit the post twice and missed two open goals.
Luck plays a part in football, but it doesn't often prevent the team which most deserves it winning the Premiership at least.
