Just watched the highlights. Very surprised. I thought it was tuesday ! Spent all day pottering around the house in my own ignorance so quite surprised when I saw the highlights and it dawned on me ! Anyway, I thought we looked good in the first half considering we fielded a much weaker team than them. The league cup is obviously there main trophy to go for because they fielded a full strength team in order to get the win. Not fussed about this match, the time off could make a difference come the end of the season. As for chelsea supporters bragging and singing lets be honest, our second lineup were at times better than there first team so not a lot to be too happy about eh chavs?

i wish people would stop using that as an excuse.

They have a lot better strength in depth than we do which is why they won. it wasn't their first team at all... their first team played against arsenal... only 4 of that team started against us.

they have better strength in depth. with the exeption of our keeper and hobbs, all the rest are used in rafas squad rotation in the league, so it was hardly our second team either

when i seen the line-up for tonights game i feared the worst but the lads did ok, pity crouch didnt keep his head i reckon we might of gotten back in that game.

if the gaffer does have to sell to buy then i could see crouch going after tonight if the right offer comes in, i would ship voronin out aswell and save on the wages, if he stays i would make him cut his fooken hair.

Very disappointed in losing but moreso about the manner in which we lost. is it me or does anyone else think that too many Liverpool players seem either far too slow, or when they have pace they have terrible control for the top level in the premiership. Babel's touch let him down, nobody else had any pace to terrify the Chelsea back line. Same on Sunday. I'm thinking that relying totally on Torres for running at defenses with pace and control will never win the premier league. The Champions league yes, if we avoid an English clubs, but need to buy more pacey athletic players who are better technical players.

rafa, next season, if you are not going to take a competition seriously then dont bother entering it, its ok i suppose to field a weaker team agaisnt teams from the lower leagues but we were playing chelsea at stamford bridge and you put out this line up

Just got back from the game and the pub :laugh:

Gutted by the result cause i want us to win every game even a friendly .
Made up though to see Xabi back very confortable display from him . Impressed with lucas again I thought we were doing ok until the :censored:

fluke and still thought we had a chance well up until Crouchie lost it.

Voronin is not a Liverpool player end of panicks when he gets the ball and he cant wait to get rid.

Ive always given Momo the benefit of the doubt but tonight i was actually shakin my head in disbelief and frustration at him

Man of the match for me was Arbeloa the man is growing in stature with each game he plays for us didnt put a foot wrong again.

You are kidding right? I don't see the ball bounce off Voronin's foot and lose possession like Kuyt does it consistently! Voronin might not be a great player, but he is much better than Kuyt!

Listening on 5 Live all I could hear from the Chumpski fans was "You are sH1T,you are sH1T" brilliant aren't they?
Still for once I hope they win their semi and give the bitters something to cry about...

what match were u watching? he did well tonight momo , so lay off and stop finding a scapegoat plz , yes some tackles were late but so were lucas's one and momo did not get a card i think .
