I watched the fight and i ave to say mayweather is an excellent fighter who can adapt to any situation ..... a modern great

Ricky Hatton is equally talented and has alot of heart and if he wants to box at 147lb he has to pratice alot ..... I still think if he
drops down back to 140lb he would win fights again without a doubt ....

Obviously moving up weight means moving up he money so he has to think on what he wants ....

I was watching in the first round where Hatton caught probably his best punch because he stepped back and threw his punch and caught Mayweather with his left hook and the power he got behind that showed that Hatton has the power to go up in weight and for a while he was controling the first 6 rounds and thought Hatton was going to do it but as soon as the ref was breaking things up uncontrollably Hatton got frustrated and getting the point deducted made him think he was losing on the cards and he put all his energy into that round

then the turnin point startined to show and we all know what happened after that ...

All the best to Ricky was hoping he could do it but was dissappointed  because of the ref ,even of his quality ( not taking anything away from PBF) felt like he could of made the 12 rounds ,he's a tough man and a great fighter:)

I wouldnt mind seeing Hatton tear Witter a new one, at least Witter has a something to make Hatton interested, the wbc belt, but after fighting an all time great it could see it being hard to rise to the challange of Witter, even tho he is a c0ck, but he's a better fighter than people give him credit for

Dont think it will happen lad not with Hatton maybe with Mayweather now thats one id love to see. But i honestly cant see Hatton fighting at 147 anymore i think he will go back to his natural weight

I just hope Hatton doesnt fight Witter cant stand the :censored:

I actually think Hatton will fight Paul Malignaggi in the states again though cause thats where the money lies

Yeah Paul Malignaggi at the garden.  Paul Malignaggi is a good boxer but he cant punch and I think Hatton would walk through his counter punching.

A fight v Cotto at MSG would of been great!!

He is thinking about a rematch but i think it would never happen ...

Seen Malignaggi on sky sprts bunching a bag and looking into the camera's saying '' i got ur belt hatton '' about three times

I say Hatton would be laughing at this because he is the best at light welterweight and Malignaggi wouldnt last 10 rounds with MayWeather.....

Hatton to become a even better boxer

Theres a good middleweight from my native city of Limerick (Steve finnan born there) called Andy Lee. He lives with Emmanual Stewart (just good friends :D ) and trains in the famous Kronk gym.

I think he'll be world champion in two years. :buttrock

I was talking to some fella last night whos in the know in boxing circles and he reckons there could be a rematch with Hatton v Mayweather in Manchester . Mayweather apparently wants to fight in England was over rawed by the English support in Vegas for Hatton and would like to prove that he will fight outside the states and get the respect from fans in England .

The man got my respect in vegas

Klitschko just unified the heavyweight division, a complete walkover and one of the worst fights I've ever seen.

Fans were jeering most the way through.

The heavyweight division is a joke at the moment, I pay absolutely no attention to it. Hopefully David Haye (providing he beats Maccarinelli) can shed some light on the division once he moves up - there's too many lumbering (Russian) giants at the moment for it to be attractive.

I don't bother with the heavyweights anymore,

I saw Haye in his amateur days, very good but too small for heavyweight.

Just to clairfy, he only unified two belts (and one of them was the near worthless wbo).

Get Lennox Lewis back into the gym  :D

I'd like a division with a 16st maximum too. the fact that people can get so big today is killing the heavyweights.

World cruiserweight champion David Haye failed to turn up for a pre-fight news conference with Enzo Maccarinelli on Thursday, claiming it would ruin his sleep pattern ahead of their unification clash.

WBA and WBC champion Haye faces Welshman Maccarinelli, the WBO belt holder, on Sunday at London's Docklands in the first fight between two reigning British world champions since 1993.

Since returning from his training base in Miami this week, Haye has remained on U.S. time to adjust for the fight that is scheduled to start at two in the morning to suit the demands of American television.

Londoner Haye, the favourite, said he agreed to attend the pre-fight publicity stunt at the original time of 1400 GMT but not the rearranged time of 1200.

Maccarinelli travelled all the way from his Swansea home to make the appointment and his promoter Frank Warren was left angry by Haye's no-show.

"It is really disrespectful of David and (his manager) Adam (Booth) not to turn up," Warren told reporters. "He has let down the fight and the promotion.

"He's not that good that he can pick and choose when he turns up. He usually fights in front of 2,000 at York Hall and there will be 20,000 at this fight. He's getting paid a lot of money and the least he can do is show his face."

The 27-year-old Haye eventually appeared at the fight venue -- the O2 Arena formerly known as the Millennium Dome -- after Maccarinelli had left, holding an impromptu news conference outside a coffee shop.

"Given we're only days from the fight, I don't feel it's realistic to expect me to break my sleep pattern," Haye had earlier been quoted as saying by the BBC.

The weigh-in is scheduled for 1900 on Friday although Haye's team insist they will turn up at 1600.
