Kewell has shown he is the best we have on the left wing but the key factor is IF he can stay fit. Fingers crossed.

It's nice to be proven wrong, in cases like this, because the humble pie tastes much sweeter with the goals and the victories of the team.

When I got wrong the Morientes one though, it was twice as painful, because you're sorry for the lad, for the team that is not scoring, and for being wrong.

True mate, I thought Torres was overrated, and oh boy how I got that wrong.

Gotta agree, Riise had a great game, defended, and didnt worry about going forward as much, let Harry take care of it, and it worked. His only mistake was taking the free kick :D

Speaking of Harry, great game today, expecting him to start Sunday. He links up with Torres better than Arbola and Yossi link up (and that was good). Did the pressuring of the full back perfectly, won alot of tackles, only downside was 1 or 2 stray passes.

Fantastic game today!!!  It's great to see the players give everything for Rafa and the supporters.  The team did not play fancy possession football but it was one of the most complete and professional performances I've seen.

Congratulations Liverpool job well done!!!

Great response tonight, I thought. Bit of a relief that the ref's inexplicable decision to keep his red card in his pocket played no part in the result, and instead we just did the job that needed doing.

Great to see Kuyt and Babel both finishing well - is that 7 and 6 for those two respectively in all competitions this season? Good contributions from players that haven't exactly set the world on fire. Torres' goal was just stunning though. Other than Barnes and Litmanen, I can't think of any player from our recent history that could've done that. Absolutely top drawer.

Quick word for Kewell, who I thought really looked the part tonight. I thought he could've done with a bit more service out there, but he contributed to 2 of the goals and really should have had 1 himself. Huge bonus to have him back fit again, and I really hope he cuts Wes Brown to bits on Sunday. He really is different class to anyone we've got on the wings, and I hope he really has a season to make us proud now.

All in all, a job very well done. First in the group would've been nice, but to bounce back from the position we were in to go and score 16 goals in 3 games, no complaints whatsoever from me.

Now bring on Madrid. That's the draw I've wanted for three seasons now. :D
