What a joke that was, the ref was bias and mayweather should have had points deducted the amount of times he went below waist level!!

Hatton never landed any clean blows apart from the first one which rocked mayweather, but to be fair in the end mayweather was more professional in his approach, I felt SICK when Hatton went down :(

These fans on the radio talking about a rematch are crazy.

This time Hatton was beaten, next time he'll be destroyed.

But Hatton is five million pounds richer, so it ain't all bad.

Fantastic performance form Mayweather, defensive masterclass in frustrating Hatton all night, then a clinical finish. Have to question where they both go from here, does Hatton move down to 140 again where they're really isnt anyone left for him to fight, or stay at a weight that the other big names are fighting at but he really isnt comfortable making

As for Mayweather, theres only 1 fight left for him, Miguel Cotto, who was in the crowd last night looking like a  David Trezeguet

PBF would destroy cotto. cotto is far to open and easy to hit.  I would like to see Hatton v cotto.  PBF is a legend one of the all time greats.

Hatton did what he could only do but as I thought Mayweather would be just to quick and clever.  His a far better fighter on the inside than I thought.  Hatton should stay at 140lbs!!

To befair to Mayweather he showed far more heart determination and power than i thought he had.
He won the fight and mixed it with Ricky and was a worthy winner, he deserves a lot of respect.
Joe Cortez stopped Hattons chances by breaking every slight clinch, he was an absolute joke, and docking Hattom the point before even warning him was a joke as well.
That made a major influence on the fight but i am not naive enough to say that Floyd didnt deserve his win, he has proved that he is the bst boxer in the world at this time, and imo deserves huge credit for the way he mixed it with Hatton when he clearly has the skills to not need to.
He lost fair and square but i was proud of him and the fans that were there, behind him even after defeat.
It could of been more interestsing if it wasnt for Cortez but the better fighter and the best about clearly won.

the ref at the start was a joke.  There was no need to stop the action.  I wish Hatton would of took a step back sometimes giving himself room to throw shots.  He was getting too close smothering his own work.  There was no room to throw to the body.

Ben Tackie who's thought both fighters sparred with mayweather and said the guy has a crazy ability to adapt to any situation.  No matter what is thrown at him he has the skillset to nullify his opponent.  His a great fighter, really one of the best ever.

I hope Hatton doesnt get talked into a fight with Junior Witter.  Hatton gains nothing from beating witter.

that fight will never happen no matter how much Witter wants it too. Hattons mixing it with the big boys state side for huge money, why would he do fairly small time fight in the UK?

Not making excuses but i still cant get my head round the ref constantly stepping in, it completley nullifys Hattons game plan.
To be fair i agree that no matter what Floyd would or could adapt, he really surprised me and is the best i have seen (at any weight)
I just think Cortez gave him a helping hand, any timke Hatton wanted to apply pressure he pulled them apart.

I never saw the fight but apparantly Hatton did everything right, Mayweather just a better fighter. Hatton can not beat him at that weight so maybe a money fight against de la hoya and then retire.

No money in the lower weight division.

He was super-confident in the build up and won it easily in the actual match.

There's no way that Mayweather was going to be intimidated by a guy who is moving up a weight class and sounds like Ashley Peacock.

ashley peacock  :D

i would love to see manhattan say that to hatton  :D

As it happens, the guy who plays Ashley Peacock is one of Ricky's best mates and was a pretty decent boxer himself.

Anyhow, just got back from Vegas myself after spending a week there. Was a buzz. We couldn't get tickets for the fight, but watched it in a theatre with a big screen in the Luxor. Saw loads of famous people through the week as we were staying in the MGM Grand. Spoke to Jim Watt and Ian Darke about the fight on the wednesday before, who were both really nice fellas. Bumped into John Lowe the former World Champion darts player and told him how much I loved him as a kid. I was on my way to breakfast on the morning of the fight when I bumped into Peter Manfredo Jnr who was fighting on the undercard, so I wished him the best of luck. The best of all though was speaking to Bert Sugar and Angello Dundee on the afternoon of the fight who are two legendary figures of the boxing world. I asked them both for their predictions and they both went for Mayweather, although Angello Dundee put that down to the weight difference between the two - Mayweather being the naturally bigger man, a sentiment shared by myself. I also saw Lennox Lewis Billy Graham and Enzo Maccarinelli (on separate occasions), but didn't speak to them.
I'll post some pics as soon as I've put them on to my PC.

Nah i was the one in the Liverpool shirt near the Budwiezer sighn over one of the exits

Go to Vegas and see the :censored: Rooney clan unbelievable.

Gutted with the result but best fighter won the mans different class. I was screamin at the ref myself for the first four rounds but it didnt matter Mayweather had sussed Hatton out he knew he liked to box on the inside and he changed his tacktics to combat that. Bit dissapointed that Hatton didnt land more shots but that was down to Mayweathers unbeilevable defence. Ill tell you what though Hatton has got one of the biggest hearts ive seen. Take me hat off to him

Seen Craig Bellamy there couldnt resist asking him how his golf swing was coming on.

Im dun in now though
