We have two goalscorers in the side - Torres and Gerrard. As mentioned in another thread Kuyt does have 10 goals in his last 25 appearances compared to Crouch's 10 in 35. Voronin hasn't managed 5 yet

Gerrard has 10 in 21 this season, 9 in his last 10 games, while Torres has scored 10 goals in his last 14 games. Benayoun has 5 in his last 13, even Babel has 5 in his last 15 and he's not even playing from the off or striker most of the time.

I'd sell Crouch in January before those stupid enough to want him, and that have the cash, spend it on someone else. If his goalscoring record isn't enough to put them off then sell him while before they put their money away. I said on another forum we could sell him and buy someone like Lita who has potential and could probably match Crouch's scoring record while we pocket the difference. Ideally I'd buy someone much better, but I'm not counting on the yanks forking out £15m to £20m on another striker. Maybe if we sell Sissoko, Crouch and one or two fringe players for more than they're worth we can get someone good. But then we need a CB, couple of proper wide players and probably two strikers as well so how is that going to be funded?

ok then what did he do versus reading?

never saw him. he created nothing, hardly touched the ball,

lucky to hit the post at the end, it was going wide. that was the only time i saw him touch the ball.

next time he is in the line up, watch him when the ball is hoofed forward in the air. 90% chance he will not win the header against a 5ft 10ins defender.

Yes your right, stupid statement made by me. As the rest of the team were "electric" crouch made them look bad. Silly me.

By all means..lets sell crouch. But we have to get someone better than him at least as a replacement.

Its no point getting rid of morientes and getting someone like Kuyt.....

or getting rid of gonzales and getting someone like leto...

or getting rid of bellamy and getting someone like voronin (i know voronin is free...but ....)

So lets get rid of crouch....but bring in someone better as i don't think Kuyt and Voronin are that much better in the 1st place.

if we're going to play him on the left of a front three as we did on saturday then we might aswell sell him.

why the f#ck play crouch when we have no wingers in the side?

Sell him and buy Yakubu...better player by far and would come cheap.

Im not to sure why Crouch is being hammerd by alot of people, he's still a brilliant player and any striker is going to look below average when playing with Nando. Crouch gets into many good spaces and holds the ball up well up front. His control is good and lacks a little when running but with Torres on the field with him its not that important. Crouch will continue to score vital goals for us and England, just wait :)

I wouldnt want him to leave but he's to good to be left on the bench all the time and has done nothing to suggest he should be left there so maybe going to another club would be good for him. Its ashame though as he's done alot for us and people are being a little ungrateful. He allways gets commented on his below par performances and not his good ones....

Crouch brings alot more to liverpool then Kuyt and Voronin along side torres because torres is a natural CF he can score goals and always has an eye for goal...

kuyt and voronin really are the same type of players so playing two of them together is like playing one dimension ....

but Crouch has a touch and can hold up the ball and can win balls in the air ( i hate wen kuyt and voronin never look to win the ball they always look to see where the defend is going to tackle them) also i think torres is great playing off crouchy :;):

Crouchy and Torres is the partnership i like for now .....:)

Last ten goals for Liverpool

Crouch - 10 goals in 35 games
Kuyt - 10 goals in 23 games

Is that laid out simply enough for those who don't want to believe it? Kuyt got a lot of stick and unfairly so, Crouch has done diddly this season and still people want him in the side. Last night showed how a 4-4-2 with Kuyt alongside Torres works, not only did both score but Kuyt in particular worked very hard. Even Torres was seen helping out in defence, the only thing we 'missed' last night was long balls aimed at Crouch to hold up (or more likely see who gets the foul - Crouch or the defender)

We can get money for Crouch in January I'm sure, if we don't sell then those crazy enough to pay £10m+ for him will have wasted their money on someone else and come the summer he may have no suitors left (the rest will have been returned to their padded cells)

crouch is an amazing sub to have but i think he does not see himself
on the bench...he thinks he is too good for this.

we have a lot of players who would rather leave than sit on our bench for a season.....that never happens at manu.

crouch was more lazy than cisse when he started games but nobody noticed.

if we can con people into buying him for 15-20 million then we should let him go.but if we can't get that sort of money for him then its retarded to sell him.

his england record has surely bumped his price tag up,but i fear our sad CHEESY manager will let him go on the cheap like all the other players since he has arrived.

i visit here once in a while but it seems my words makes no sense and goes unnoticed and hardly get any response.

maybe i should spend all my time on the forum to get my points noticed,if only i had more observational skills to get my points across more powerfully.

oh well i'm just a cheesy little nobody.

I don't mean to be overly rude Geoff but there is a very good reason for that. It is that unfortunately in football terms, you are sir, an idiot.
