You know what, I bet they don't have inquests like this on Arsenal forums when they have a poor game.

And seeing as though they're losing at Boro right now, maybe we can go see afterwards.

Who's to blame?

Rafa at some extent, Reading, and some players.

Rafa's idea was to put some muscle in the midfield and leave all the left wing free for Riise. He played Gerrard and Torres, so he obviously wanted to win the game early, then make the substitutions.

But it didn't work the initial proposal of Rafa and we were down. With the 2-1 we tried to attack, and did so (2 balls in the woodwork) but we were not accurate in the back and Reading was able to win the game with their weapons: courage, and good press -- they didn't have more, but it was enough.

Our team yesterday wasn't the strongest, had not our usual back four, and against a decent team that took the match very seriously that brought the defeat. 3-1 was an exagerated result for the merits of both teams, but I cannot say Reading didn't deserve to win.

In this context I find normal people is despaired when you sit down Torres and Gerrard thinking in Marseille, even I made a sigh of frustration. Hopefully it will serve so that we win in Marseille, or those substitutions will be twice as painful.

But I want to stress that those players are attacking players, and that we received 3 goals, which is a lot, so that means those subs were not the only problem yesterday. So we had a bad day in the office, gave up in min 60 thinking in Marseille, and it's normal to be angry. But this team was onwards and upwards before yesterday and I'm sure we'll continue this way.

My answer of the poll would be a vote which is a mixture, of Rafa's yesterdays tactics, some players performances, and fixture list.

we went 14 games and conceded six goals, despite playing some terrible football at times and some sublime football at other times, rafa takes the cerdit when we get it right, when he allows us to play football we are a joy to watch, when he concentrates on us we are a joy to watch, but then he spoils it with some of the stupidest decisions in football, he can see its working so he decides to risk changing it and invariably falls flat on his face.

rafa concentrate on our team only, let the oppo worry about us, field your strongest team every game, worry about the next game when this one has finished and not before, usually we end up in a must win situation because you blew it the week before with some strange decisions.

Reading are sh*t, yet the scored half as many goals in one game than we have conceded in the previous 14, and thats because rafa was concentrating on keeping us in europe, and why are we still so worried about this game, yeah thats right, because rafa blew it earlier in the group

in the league we already have to hope arsenal lose 3 games more than we lose for the rest of the season, 7 points difference

Boro 2-0 up against Arsenal now.

Make no mistake: this title race is open - all the top 4 will drop points this season.

losing one game is not a disaster. dont panic.

However, if we do not beat Marseille, and lose to the mancs, then that is more of a disaster. going out of the champions league and 9 points behind the scum is unassailable these days.

I also think some players in the current squad, are overated.

Mascherano is not worth 17m, end of. he doesnt surge forward, and doesnt offer anything that Didi Hamann wouldn;t offer.

We'd be lucky to get 17m for stevie g.

Kewell is not a great player IMO. he can run a bit but cannot beat players half the time.

Peter Crouch, I just dont rate him. Depsite his height, he was losing headed challenges. he sort of "crouches" forgive the pun, when he leaps, so his height is of no advantage. also, has no pace and cant dribble.

How can we have 3 strikers V reading and hardly create anything?

Mascha not worth 17?

Gerrard not worth 17!?!?!?

Kewell not good!

Crouch absolutly useless!

Sorry, but who are you, what planet are you from and does your species have eyes to watch football?

Don't be hard with our Atletico guest, both in english and when he talks about Liverpool in Spanish he makes it with a great deal of respect.

Bear in mind that he's from a country (mine) in which less money is being moved in the market, and 17M, which is almost 30M € is a sum that is rarely moved around here.

If you add to that that the fame that Gerrard and Lampard is divided by ten when you remove from the equation the english press, and that our very own press overrates our players and the liga, you have a fan thinking that way.

In the Kewell comment, you'd find less fans of Kewell in a mediterranean country than in England. His style is very mediterranean, and we're more used to Kewells as most of the wingers here have that profile.

So bear in mind this things when he says "overrated", because right now the english market is very expensive and from an outside view, 17M pounds is a lot of money.

I'm sure though that just like me, as soon as he watches the team week in week out, he'll realise Gerrard is a hell of a midfielder, a great one.

P.S. As for Crouch Amigo, I think he's a great player. Maybe not world class (what we call a crack) but a great one. Positionally is very important, he flicks a lot of balls that team mates use.

You have a point though when you say that when we don't have Torres, we're quite unable to make goals, and that's worrying because we CANNOT be a one-man depending team

Missed the game - only got the highlights - but even before kick off I thought to myself that if we were going to lose one game between Reading, Marseille and the scum, I'd pick Reading. There was no way that we would finish the season unbeaten in the league - it had to happen at some stage and I'd prefer it to happen this week rather than next.

Don't panic, lads. It was a blip - their minds were on two of the most important games we've had so far this season coming up. It's human nature. You can't rotate human nature. Although Rafa would if he could! :p
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Round pegs Square holes is where the problem was yesterday
The formation was sound but we are playing players who dont have the
techniqual or mental ability to play out of position
