That is one weird lineup.  I dont think anyone could have predicted that.

Hoping to see Agger and Xabi  in there.

Rafa has said Agger and Xabi are nearly but not yet ready and wont play today mate  :(

I think we need Agger back desperately. Sami has done well, but he cant play all the games without a rest anymore. I read the other day he has played 12 straight games for us and four for his country.

Thats what worries me about this week Leon, 3 huge games and even if Agger is judged fit could you risk him in either of the other 2 games without a warm up game? I think Chelsea in the league cup is when we will see Agger, and Alonso back mate.

I think Sami has done a great job but its asking a lot of him to keep playing without a break.

Thats my worry also.

I think Agger will have had warm up games, but not top flight intensity ones.

Seems Rafa agreed with us about Sami, Leon  :D

I feel much better now knowing Voronin & Crouch are upfront. Torres can play a decoy role this match avoiding injury ofcourse.

I'll look at the formation before I decide what I think of the team.

If it's a 3 up front (which I don't think it will be), I think we'll run into trouble.

If it's Voronin on the left and Gerrard on the right, I think it could work well for us.

And here's hoping Hobbs puts in a strong performance - if pennies are tight in January, it would great if good scouting years back saves us forking out on a centre back. Been wanting to see what the kid's made of for a while, and I hope he has a stormer.

LittleHobo-I think you're right, this could be a very ugly game with masch and sissoko in midfield.

i dont wanna be right

i just think hes dropped a clanger

why change something that has been working great, we have actually looked like a team recently who could challenge

now he goes without wingers, sissoko is back? why exactly and voronin gets a chance? why exactly? its been working fine without those two

and as much as i want hobbs to do well, he will be pressured tonight and could fold under the pressure

I think Liverpool will do well.

I think part of the reason for this formation today is the upcoming game against Marseille followed by Man Utd next week.

He said that he thinks Carra is clever enough to not get booked.

Hyypia has played 16 games for 90 mins in the last two months, not good at his age.
