Right. This is probably aimed at the northern lads in here - in particular those from my neck of the woods when growing up. I can only speak for the areas of Widnes/south Liverpool and maybe as far as Chester way. (Cos i had it there once). And not the rest of the country...especially the southern ponces who are all 'cosmopolitan enough already' and don't agree with some of our scran up here. F**k off then.

Old style Chippy curry sauce that was red hot and stank the house out!

Nothing comes close - NOTHING. Ive had (and made) sh1t loads of curries in my lifetime and not once have i managed to stumble across the kind of taste im after anywhere available to buy. Even the best chinkies ive had aren't really the same...

Life will forever be poorer for not having that fiery stuff poured over me chips, with loads of buttery bread as well.

All over Neil...going back 20 odd years here. There was a cracking chippy down by naughton park, one of the best for curry and chip.

Red get the Hot makeway chipshop curry in the yellow and cerise pink tub its the closest thing you'll get its fuckin gorg with chips and anchor butter on a buttie.

Ive got two tubs in the fridge fab.

Me ma gets it for me its in a plastic box with a yellow wrapper with cerise pink writting, you cut off a block and mix it with water its just like the old days FACT.

Maysan concentrated chip shop curry sauce paste extra hot :cool:

Its only abar 1 pound odd.

Found it 1.30 a box.

Never mind the curry sauce , Do yer know what hard to find in the liverpool chippys now , a good meat pie , im not talking you normal steak pies im talking about the round ones with a ball of meat in the middle and when you cut it open the clear meat juices run out. there was a great chippy on Stanley Road that done them.

I used to love them meat pies in the fat with loads of salt & vinegar
