sorry i dont know!!
It sits over the entrance tunnel where the players walk out onto the pitch.
Touching it gives a LFC player magical powers.
Bill Shankly popped it up there to unnerve the opposition and to remind them where they are !

Can you imagine when Sammy Lee played for us he would of needed a ladder to get up there

a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question, (b) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question
so if we draw, we win by goal diffrence thanks to the porto match

Then, out of nothing Torres produces the magic and pulls it out of the fire for us again. That's ten goals now for those that like to keep tabs on the numbers and he could easily be on 15 or so by now if he'd had his shooting boots on every match. Absolutely outstanding clutch performer. Well made up for Crouchy as well--always love to see him on the score sheet.
So, not a completely convincing performance all told but a gutsy one. In the end, we were able to canter home which suggests that the quality is returning. Roll on Sunday!
Oh, and Ivor mentioned it earlier but it bears repeating: Quaresma showed tonight why he's not good enough to play for us. An utterly underwhelming performance, for me. We need someone of the quality and character of Torres to come in. Quaresma has neither on tonight's evidence.
