lol well done then , 2-0 to us ..

-----Reina-----
--finnan---carra--agger/hypia---riise
--gerrard--masch---lucas----babel
--torres-----crouch

i'd expect babel to link up with the front 2 and act like the 3rd striker with just that extra bit of pace and trickery  .. gerrard and babel will prob pump balls in for crouch , we'd be high on morale after back to back wins and this would be the icing on the cake if we win .. torres and gerrard to carry on his recent goal scoring form

WOULD BE A GREAT BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR ME TOO , SEEING AS MY BIRTHDAY IS ON THE 28th =]]

We're in much better form than we were when we played them in Portugal. But they're still a good team and will cause us problems. We have to win and will be going for it from the start.

If we don't score early, I can see them sitting back and trying to hit us on the break

Why does Gerrard get a free role when we have to pay? and the rest of the team. We all have to pay for our ham salads and Stevie gets it for nothing its all wrong hes on ..... wait you mean free role in the team dont ya? forget what I just put......

Oh and a sidenote: Manhatton has to post ALL remaining fixtures on here ! As well as highlighting the forthcoming fixture he "enlightens" us with the relevant "facts" ! :D

Don't think Rafa will play this,  but this could be our best XI right now considering fitness:
                           Reina
   Arbeloa      Carra         Hyypia        Aurelio
                       Mascherano
            Gerrard                  Lucas
  Babel                                          Kewell
                            Torres

When Agger and Alonso are back we are going to be REALLY dangerous, would like Yossi and Pennant back as well :)   Maybe we should also sing we got the best subs bench in the world (when fit)

I think he picks one and builds up facts over a few weeks  :D

I would like to see babel start up from on this one, 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 (right side)

Starting writing my last post before this was posted. This is pretty much the team i want (maybe Agger for Hyypia if fit?). Babel and Gerrard worked well for the breif time they were on the pitch together, Lucas has done nothing wrong in any match hes played, and Masch is playing better than Sissoko atm

But porto are a good side, and i doubt we would play a 4-3-3. I see Kuyt up top too

That looks a quality team Joe and one that would cause problems for any team, especially since we are at home, but i have a feeling that Rafa might name an unchanged team.

At least Porto wouldnt be expecting that  :D

Reina

Finnan        Carra           Agger/Hyypia        Riise

Babel          Gerrard         Mascherano        Kewell

                         Kuyt      Torres

I think Rafa will take a few chances with this game and go at Porto from the off. Early goal will be vital, to settle the players, and fans down after recent events. I think we may win this one the hard way a nerve wracking 1 -0

I am not sure about unchanged, but for my fantasy Rafa I will be picking minimal changes.  Too important of a game to be getting experimental with the line-ups.  I would also make sure to have plenty of attacking options on the bench if I were Rafa, three points is a necessity.  Babel NEEDS to be in the squad somewhere, same with all four strikers and Kewell.  three points is a must, Porto know that they are through with a draw
