well i am lucky enough to be goiing to sydney this week on business, I have a coiple of meetings and an awards ceremony, i arrive there monday lunch and i am due to fly back to bangkok on friday evening, then to malaysia and singapore the following week folloed by a short trip to hong kong.

anyway i will have some free time in sydney and i am looking for things to do apart from the obvious harbour bridge and opera house. i will be staying in the financial district as i have to give a talk at the australian stock exchange.

so if any of you guys have advice on what to do, and bamanga man if you can get to sydney that will be great.

lol bamaga is about 9,000 km away.

I would reccomend you go to the casino at night. There is one awesome club in there (forgot the name) but the waitresses are HOT!

Get yourself down to Doyle's at Watson's bay mate...... excellent nosh.... seafood. Bit pricey but well worth it. They've also got another restaurant at the harbour, but the one at Watson's bay better..... Also, if you can, drive up to the Blue Mountains and see the 3 sisters.... beautiful.

I love Sydney..... the missus and I had our honeymoon there.... And don't miss Bondi.

time is limited mate and i think i will be pretty much stuck to the city, but i will try doyles, cheers.

i was going to up the bridge but was told i cant take photos up there, they take a group picture and you buy that if you want it, seems a bit of a con, i dont really want a picture with strangers

No need to lose sleep over stingrays in Sydney mate..... But watch out for those white pointers... aussie speak for great white sharks.

Pity you can't make it up to the Blue Mountains. No pictures on top of the harbour bridge?

Bit strange that... Deffinitely a con job if true.

Try Manley as well..... Nice hike along the harbour to Manley... 9 km.... easy and relaxing..... plenty of posh seaside homes along the way too.

Not sure about the english, Give a talk means, a speech? meaning, you talk inside the stock exchange and you have an audience?

If that's the case, tell me how you do it to comment it so calmly, speaking succesfully in public is an art!! you should be nervous unless you have experience!

What will be the talk about?

Me mother in law has just flew to sidney about a week ago peewee , if you bump into the dragon ,tell her not to bother coming back as she's a pain in the rectum. If you do bump into her mate , watch your bollox and your wallet.

Peewee I doubt I'll make it to Sydney mate, due to days and notice unfortunately.

i am not nervous mate, if i wasnt sure about my presentation then i would be nervous, but my presentation is about something i know about, (I changed job recently but i have previous experience in this field)

i will be presenting a management system for investor relations for listed companies, we will be trying to get the backing of the exchange for this new product. we already launched in thailand and singapore and got the backing there, after australia we will launch in malaysia, then hong kong. the US and UK will be early next year,

so in a nutshell mate, if you know what you are talking about there is no need for nerves, if you are unsure then it can be a worry,

i agree that public speaking is an art and it comes down to confidence, i find that confidence comes with knowledge, then you have to focus on clarity and taking your time. I am not sure about audience size but i dint expect it to be too big, maybe just 15 people, its not to listed companies, its just to the management of the stock exchange

I see Peewee. I slightly disagree when you say confidence comes with knowledge, as I have seen real experts of a certain topic, that are awful speaking in public.

Myself, I used to have some fear to speak in public, but it was removed with age, in my case it was a matter of "experience" to lose that fear.
