Most underrated lfc players

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Reinas No.1 Fan » Thu Nov 15, 2007 5:22 am

In the overall world of football I thought Jamie Carragher was very underated, or at least until the 2005 champs league final, even now I think he doesnt get the plaudits outside of the liverpool support. His ommision constantly from the england line up and Archie McLarens choice of king/brown ahead of him says it all.

obviously we all love him but i neve thought he got the praise he deserved outside of liverpool

Aldo never gets mentioned in the same bracket as Rush. He score loads for Oxford, went to LFC and was an automatic success, went to Spain and was top scorer for an average club - huge success there when many English players failed, went to tranmere when he was about 33 and went on to become their all time top scorer.

My favourite ever LFC player. Just as good as Lineker too.

Ray K was the first player I thought of.

He was the most enquired about by foreign managers before any European ties were played, according to Sir Bob.

Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

Yep. Just ask the likes of Sven and McLaren. Those two w@nkers always seem to put the Neville's and funny lip Rio ahead of him. He never got a look in. That's like Italy leaving out Cannavaro.

Of recent years you'd have to say Carragher or Hypia - both outstanding defenders and for me better than any of vidic, ferdinand (show pony) or Terry.

Our defence record of the last few seasons is a testament to their ability

Crouch.

People might think i am taking the p!ss but i am not, he cost 7 million which at the time wasnt cheap. Since then he has not let us down scoring plenty of goals (after the initial very slow start)
Underrated by loads. I think he is quality and a great option.
Also he has often brought the best out of Gerrard, and the fact of the matter is...we play better more often than not when he is in the team imo.

Jimmy Case and Steve Heighway......

Deserve far more mention for their prowess on the field than they've received....

Nigel Clough could have been brilliant. Spent many days in the reserves, Paul Stewart was more favoured than him !

My best friend, a Man U fan (pity) rate Carra higher than Ferdinand. But my other friend, a Liverpool fan is an admirer of ferdinand. What does he sees in that scum, God knows. Btw, he also list El hadji Diouf as one of his fav Liverpool player. ???  ?????? something wrong upstairs i think.

Diouf could have been a very good player, it doesnt help that he winds up his own supporters more than the oppositions !
