Why ?

Personally I spent years cheering  our Scottish "mates" on . Possibly because of their valiant contribution in numerous wars and of course the illustrious line of scots who have worn the Liverpool shirt with such distinction,

However, in recent years , many Scots (and Welsh and Irish) have celebrated Englands misfortunes in football . My attitude now is "fu'ck 'em," I  guarantee most of them will be willing Croatia to beat us.

My background is from Northern Ireland and all my family are there.

Sure, when we won 1-0 against England it was great. It is a good rivalry, however I do not hope misfortune on England. In fact, I really would like to see them qualify.

England still need a result on Croatia, at least 1 point to secure its passage.
Don't make any mistake on Wednesday, please!!!

Well that's Spanish refs for you, it's nothing personal, they make mistakes all the time. I didn't see the match but he also got wrong some decissions in the other way, as far as I've read.

As for Kazza, good luck, I think that you still have some chances to qualify, Island has to beat Denmark, and you have to beat us.

Spain was quite hurt when we lost in Northern Ireland, it was hard blow for the pride and players will seek revenge, but at the same time Spanish players when not under pressure can be bullied. Make a couple of hard tackles at the start of the game to show you're serious about winning, and cross fingers, everything is possible :) Good luck

Latvia must beat Sweden, whilst Northern Ireland must beat Spain.

The odds are stacked against them (NI) qualifying.

I didn't see the Scotland match but disappointed they lost. I gave them no chance at start of campaign and they have been amazing. Good platform for world cup and you can't get as bad a draw again.

Lucky break for England but should do the job now against Croatia, good that one country from this neck of woods will be there.

Northern Ireland had another great result , put bigger countries to shame.

Wales and Ireland battled it out for the worst team in Europe, score draw, equally pathetic.

fair point but things are changing slowly here. When times were bad we blamed England for everything (it raining - damn brits!) but now with prosperity the chip is getting smaller, peace in the north helps too.

TBH, nearly all the anti English stuff at football is playful, like LFC fans don't HATE Everton, they just take the p1ss out of them (not that this leaves much :D )

I think any tournament without England, Germany,France, Italy,Netherlands,Spain is poorer.

Good luck on Wednesday

Haha, I'm loving it. Spain is NOT going to be a head team (whatever it's called in English) in the draw of groups of the next euro. I'm not sure how that's calculated, I think it's calculated with qualification rounds of this and previous EUROS, anyhow I don't care.

Not only that Spain might be in the last box, meaning it can be a sour surprise for the head team. France is going to be in this last box aswell. This happens both because France and Spain were average in previous Euros and because Austria and Switzerland are group heads.

In a nutshell, we can perfectly have a group like Holland, England, Germany and Spain, or something similar, that would be a hell of a group!  :D I wouldn't mind to play a group like that.
