Diouf should never be allowed to put on the Red shirt ever again, i'd like to see Partridge given a shot even if it is as a back up to a new signing, atleast he is a natural winger not a converted centre mid. Vladi's up n down form is a problem but is a decent player for the squad. Diao tackles like he has a wooden leg and plays like he has a wooden brain, surely one of the most inept players we've ever signed and should hold the door open for diouf on his way out!!!

Diouf will join a small band of Players who failed to impress at Liverpool.

Clough, Collymore, Carter, Kennedy, Stewart, ..................

I went for Murphy but was usurprised to ses so many votes for Hamann

Dietmar is the player LFC seem to miss more than any other when he is ijured, in terms of games lost or drawn whilst he is not playing .

For the record I'd like to see Ballack in the centre as a suitable replacement for Hamann or Rosisky for Murphy on the right side.

disagree with the comments on diao. i think his size sometimes makes him look a bit like he is lumbering but may prove to be a cleverer and more affective player than a lot of people think. he drives forward well, has a good range of passing, a decent shot and is a good physical presence in the middle. hes been made to look bad at right back and when had his chance in centre mid we were having a decent run and geting some good results. a decent run and a bit of confidence could help him become the player who ive seen take games by the scruff of the neck for senegal.

I'm sure Rafa will bring in a right-mid over the next week or so with Luis Garcia at Barca (i have never heard of him before) the most likely according to press releases. Murphy and Hamman are both decent players who sruggled in a stagnating side last season. they will both play better this season i'm sure. Even Igor is apparently doing the bus in pre-season. Maybe he could start the season in the middle with Stevie! that would be a turn-up :-)

I dont know if you watch many matches, you just watch hamann and murphy for 90 mins when they play for the reds, and just watch exactly what they do! its very depressing stuff, and it looks like Hamann and Murphy are gonna figure this season too, which is even more depressing
