Voted Kuyt, even though I despise him as a player. Berbatov's **** attitude would most likely affect the team so I wouldn't want him here.

How can you despise Kuyt? I don't think he's good enough for Liverpool, but I think he comes across as a decent bloke and a decent enough player.

wow what a great fan you must be, really getting behind the players  :kungfu:

cant believe how many would rather have that ahole berbatov than a hard worker like kuyt whos going through a dry spell, no one rememebrs his goals last season already

Exactly, scored some important goals. Chelsea at home springs to mind, didnt get he the 1st? Oh and didnt he have a rather similar goal scoring recod as Berbatov and Rooney.

Well, all I have to say is that we wouldn't even be asking ourselves that question if we had Berbatov instead of Kuyt.

Only reason Kuyt get some votes is that some people just are in denail and don't want to give up on a player that has very little skill and will get you maybe 5 PL goals a season.

Like many has mentioned Kuyt has ONE thing that is better and that is his work-rate/attitude.
But what about the footballing department? NONE are better!

Well I wouldn't kick the door in to get Berbatov, but surely there is more to his game than scoring goals? He made two for Keane at Anfield by beating Hyppia in the air twice from an equal start, and he made one for Jenas the other night with a clever little reverse pass. I don't watch their games as a rule but I think it's probably fair to say that in pure footballing ability Berbatov is the much more gifted of the two.

Kuyt better footballer? Are you pulling my leg?

Sure, he is a nice lad and a hard worker but those things won't win you football games.
Skills and goals will do that.
Berbatov's skill, technique, football intelligence, first touch, finishing ability etc etc etc are all head and shoulders above Kuyt's. There is nothing when it comes to just football that Kuyt does better. Have you seen his 1st touch? finishing?
Atrocious and abysmal are the best way to describe them unless you look through those tinted glasses.

And c'mon, berbatov may have some attitude problems but comparing with Diouf is going way overboard.

Daws I agree with every single word, apart from the word "better". I think your analysis on Berbatov the man is about right, i wouldn't want his either, and given he'd probably disrupt the squad, I'd prefer Dirk too who is a good pro. He's unfortunately though, not as good a footballer as Berbatov IMHO.
