A little bit of a picture explanation: the picture is taken right before a bunch of us are about to "shotgun" cans of beer.  this is where u cut open a whole at the bottom of a can (usually with keys) and then open the can while simultaneously turning it rightside up with ur mouth over the open whole causing the beer to rush quickly down your throat.

Interesting!  Makes a nice ying to the typical yang of American Football--hundreds of dudes in sweatpants and body paint.  Whenever we visit my wife's family in northern Wisconsin I love driving by the church on Sunday and seeing all the men (and a fair few ladies) in Packers or Vikings gear heading inside to pray for victory.  It's a sign of how desperate the churches are for attendance up there that no one dares make a comment about appropriate church attire on Sundays between September and February!
