Almost every single pundit you talk of has won diddley squat as a manager. Not one successful manager has come out and criticised Benitez which speaks more than the "pay me a £ and I'll say what you want, boss"

George Graham admitted being puzzled by Rafa's rotation policy, if I recollect he won the league didn't he??
So are you saying that all pundits are idiots and that we all know much more about football than they do?? I certainly don't pretend to.

George Graham fits the "Give me a brown bag of money and I'll say what you want"

Well OK fair point  :D  :D  But in seriousness almost everybody is puzzled by Rafa's rotation it is complete cr@p and doesn't work. It might work if Rafa was a better man manager but I think it is clear that he isn't. If Rafa was to stop all the tinkering and employ his tactics with his best starting 11 week in week out I think we would have a chance but he is to stubborn to do this, and in that case he has to go, and I expect he will leave either at Xmas or the end of the year. If we loose tonight, which I don't expect or hope for btw, then I think the pressure on him will be intense. We ar ein arguably one of the easier groups but have had zero success so far in the one competition Rafa is supposed to be good at!! If iwas an owner that wouldn't exactly make me smile, it would instead make me very  :veryangry

Any chance of you ever getting a civil tongue in your head boy. Why don't you try having a discussion instead of ALWAYS insulting other people, is it lack of intelligence maybe?

All the managers you mentioned stand a far better chance of winning it this year than Rafa does don't they!!

They're more than happy finishing first or second ahead of Rafa, since fergie could only manage one CL win in the Premiership before Rafa arrived I'm sure he's not blaming not winning it again on Rafa

oh - hold on a second, maybe he is?

And Arsene got to the CL final and it wasn't Rafa who stopped them winning it, try again

I'll always have great memories of winning the champions league but he will never win the league which is what most of us crave.

I also HATE when managers lie after games, after Besiktas if he just said that we were poor I'd be happier than after he tried to make out that we actually played well and were unlucky.

I also hate the style of football. Bring Back JOhn Barnes - he's lost some weight from all that dancing :D

My point was, you said those managers where happy with him being here, you are wrong.

Fergie has delayed retirement for the last few years cus he needs to win the European Cup again.

Jose lost his job cus he couldnt win it despite two league titles cus Roman needs the Champions LEague.

Arsenal need the Champions League in order to establish themselves as force in European football, otherwise they will stagnate in terms of brand.

Oh hold on - maybe we should still spout shi.te about Rafa cus its the in thing to do and not look at the bigger picture.

General consensus makes it not an insult! There is a certain irony within the post.

You are a knobhead - INSULT

You act like a knobhead - FACT

Whats yer problem ? Do you expect your mates to call you sir down the boozer and raise their arm during a football discussion to get involved or do you act like men do in a pub and swear, curse, diasgree and agree in equal measure ?

we're no closer to winning the league since benitez took charge.

were playing boring defensive football.

we needed good wingers and strikers when he took over and now we still need good striker and wingers.

gerrard and hamman were in the middle - no improvement.

and our defence on saturday was the same defence that houllier had.

so how the heck has our team improved in the last 3 years!

we're allready losing ground to the leaders in the league. - by january the league will be out of sight - we'll be out of the cups - but all is o.k because our squad has improved!!!!!!!!

we havn't got the players to challenge the top teams - fact.

You talk sh 1t is an insult, you talk sh 1t by suggesting it isn't. Or perhaps you ain't bright enough to know when someone's insulting you, perhaps it's so regular you asume it is normal.

Why do you need to resort to that low level, childlike posting approach? Can't you accept someone else's view because it doesn't agree with your's?

Seriously people what is wrong with this forum? We're ALL Liverpool fans yet there is way to much bickering, petty insults or derogatory comments (if you can't accept it is an insult it certainly isn't complimentary) and it's almost like some people want everyone to fall in line. Why should they? If I think Rafa should go I will say so and I'm not far off that. I've read plenty of comments excusing bad results, suggesting he'll perform some kind of miracle given time and even that he's won the Champions League so he should have as long as he likes.

My opinion is my opinion, if it were your's then it would be you expressing it. You don't like it there's no need to jump out your pram and down my throat like a kid who doesn't like what someone said.

We can't break into the top two regularly although we did manage more points under Rafa than previously, that wasn't sustained

HOMER wrote:were playing boring defensive football.

Overall probably true

HOMER wrote:we needed good wingers and strikers when he took over and now we still need good striker and wingers.

We had Owen and he left, we have Torres so our front line is still lacking

HOMER wrote:gerrard and hamman were in the middle - no improvement.

Maybe

HOMER wrote:and our defence on saturday was the same defence that houllier had.

We are missing Agger and Reina was the keeper, but essentially there are a fair few of Houllier's players still in the XI

HOMER wrote:so how the heck has our team improved in the last 3 years!

I'll spew out one response, "we won the champions league" - what that has to do with winning the league is anyone's guess

HOMER wrote:we havn't got the players to challenge the top teams - fact.

Sad truth is we can't even beat brum at home and some are suggesting not beating Fulham and Bolton at home is acceptable because of *insert waffle*.

i'm all for giving benitez a fair chance but he's had 3 years and I can't see us any closer to the top of the prem (the 1 trophy that is v. important to LFC ) than when he took over.

if anything I think the gap has got wider because of arsenals improvement and manures + chelseas good signings.

were now in the category of battling a much improved blackburn + pompey for fourth - even everton are close!

we've also got to play the big teams away from anfield - hope benitez can turn things around but I think he's a bit too set in his ways (stubborn !) to change the way we play or drop his favourite non performing players.

Do you think that we have four teams here ? One for each competition we enter ?

No

Then of course one thing will be relative to the other.

How can you judge a league campaing one quarter of the way through ?

Also Arsenals improvement has caused us no end of problems, hence the reason we finished above them the last two years. ???
