Coca Cola cup in 95 shows we did something :P
Also under Evans we were never more than 20 points the champions like we have been under Benitez, so in english football passing works. Bit of advice go and watch some videos of Livepool in the mid 80s and watch better football than Arsenal play now. Passing football is what will trophies in the english game.

I'm not knocking Evans and i loved watching us play for much of his tenure but i nver felt like we were gonna win anything.
As for the 80's i'm not so young (unfortunately) that i can't remember how good we were to watch back then, i've got a copy of the 5-1 demolition of Notts Forest on tape and watched it back a little while ago, fantastic stuff.
BUT while we don't play the most expansive game under Benitez a lot of posters are now painting a picture of Rafa's teams as boring, predictable, long-ball, negative etc. The media do the same but it's lazy journalism, we have put in some fantastic performances in Benitez's tenure.
