Game over. Liverpools problem seems to be the same old story really , plenty of the ball ,plenty of chances, just not clinical enough. We'er through the the next round and that's all that counts. All the big guns are through the the 1/4 finals.

sounded like lucas played prety well, as did el zhar. didnt hear much about hobbsy but he seemed to win a few balls it sounded like. good to see mashcherano's injury wasn't as bad as it looked against arsenal.

If every time we substitute Gerrard 20 minutes, the next games scores a goal per game, then we'll have to repeat that.

*run away* :)

In all seriousness, it was a matter of time that we'd have the best of Gerrard, in the previous games to the derby he had been recovering from an injury, traveling with England, etc.

Yay ! We won, nice to see Rafa try Crouch and Babel upfront, and also good to hear Lucas got a game. He does look a very composed player.

Did Kewell do much atall, or is he injured again ?

Plus has anyone got the goals to view.

Not bad not bad. Very impressed with young Jack Hobbs tonight defo a young star of our future. We still squanderd to many chances again though Crouch could of had a couple . Robbie got a great reception and nearly scored in the first 5 minutes. Our passing was much better tonight Harry looked class when he came on and it was so good to see stevie making them surging runs through the middle again. Aurelio played well and should of scored .

Spotted Sammy Lee tonight  going into the game  great rendition tonight  of were not english were scouse

Job done although the did give us a few scares
