Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Apologies for putting this in the main area and I expect it to be moved, but wanted as many people as possible to read it.

I have been watching a fantastic programme on BBC4, a documentary on a season in Barcelona (2003-2004).

Its ending soon but will be repeated at 2.40 this morning on BBC4 again.

Its been a fantastic doc with great behind the scene footage and I can highly recommend it.  Those of you with sky plus or videos or whatever then set your machine to record this you will be glad you did. Apologies for those of you outside the UK I really dont know how you would get hold of it, but am sure somebody on this forum will be able to help.

Happy viewing

I'm convinced this was on well over a year ago, most probably longer than that (2-3 years), must be an old repeat?

In fact, I'd bet Wilhelmsson's Maggie Thatcher poster that I've seen it  :eyebrow

I think it is. Watching a doc now about Pele and Garrincha and I remember watching it before.

Still the Barac doc was very interesting especially considering what we are going through now

I think I saw that a couple of years back as well.

Is it the one were Joan Laporte has just been voted in a president of the club and it follows him and his associates around as they go about implementing their plans?

If so it was a very good watch. Really interesting seeing them going about reducing the clubs massive debts and negotiating player transfers, especially the capture of Ronaldinho.

Haven't seen the Pele documentary but I assume it's to do with erectile dysfunction!   :wwww  :D

Fascinating insigght into a top top football club.

Real eyeopener for me the contract talks, round a little table five people. For soem reason I always thought they would be a bit more glamerous.

I wonder whether Ronadinho's agent told him to play ball in negotiations so no matter what figures they mention "don't smile"

I like the way Barcelona stand for something more than football.

They stand for Catelonia in the same way some others stand for the Basque country.
