I would rather Babel come on.  Gotta have at least some pace up there.

Torres must be injured again. Why bring him on right now?

How's our midfield holding up, mate?

Mascher is playing great , Alonso is passing well but struggling when running/tackling Gerrard is playing well but needs to calm down a bit.

I don't think so, just wasn't his best first part and not that  he was  given a lot of service neither.

I think we need to rethink the tactics for the second half.  They're ball control and pace are frightening and we are playing into their hands by running around a lot and lumping the ball long.  Crouch, I'm sure, will come on for Torres--who looks short of fitness--and I'd like to see Benayoun on for Voronin down the left.  A bit more ball retention, a bit more measured play to take the sting out of the game and we can stiffle them and look to play on the counter.

Arsenal look good but IMO we are matching them and some off our football has been really good.

Gotta watch them on the counter attack though.....

Macherano has been superb in breaking things up but we are not keeping the ball well enough.  To many front to back passes.  With crouch I hope this doesnt increase as they see a big target to hit.  When we dont have the ball Kuyt and Vorinin are tucking in so we have 9 men behind he ball.  Its a bit overkill as when the ball is cleared its back with arsenal straight away.  Push vorinin and kuyt up with crouch/torres and then get further up the field.

Well..... I'm happy we came in still 1-0 up. Hard to tell from the gamecast but doesn't look like we're doing too badly... :D

Stats from Soccernet...

                              Liverpool  v  Arsenal
Possession                   44%           56%
Shots on Goal                5               4
Corners                        3               0
Offsites                        2               2
Saves                          5?             3
Yellow Cards                 1               0

Hard to tell from just stats though...

Impressions lads?

I'd like to see Benayoun AND Babel for Voronin and Kuyt.
