Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Didn't expect that line-up but I've learned to expect the unexpected.  Rafa gambled on the formation at home to Arsenal and it worked last season so let's hope it pays off again.

Crouch may as well pack his bags and take an ad out in the paper, though.  He's surely off in January. ???

crouch ripped the gooners apart at anfield last season, i feel sorry for the guy to be honest, i could understand if the other forwards nwere setting the world alight but neither kuyt or voronin are, in fact calling kuyt a striker is offensive to strikers

Plenty time to criticise the selections after the game mate, lets stay positive, Torres is back, Alonso's back and Masch is playing.

Holy sh!te!... 4-3-3?

That is unexpected.... Looks like Rafa's going for the jugular in this one...... Can't say I'm not worried as we're probably not too familiar with this formation but hell, it's better than just sitting back...

C'mon you RED MEN!!!

btw.... I'm stuck in a hotel room again without Premiership coverage and the internet connection is p!ss poor so I expect to be slow as feck with match info, so I'm depending on you lot to get me through this match.... Will probably have no finger nails left at the end of the match.... :D

I am suprised he is not playing today.

He was on Sky 1 earlier and the reporter asked him if he had had crunch talks with Rafa about not playing he said yes he has.

But he doesnt want to leave but he needs to play regulary.
He said Rafa was a great manager and he knew he would be rotated but not this much.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Looks to me a fast counter attack force formation upfront for us. Hope we'll be able to steal a few goals here.

We have no left sided midfield player and they have Sajma and Eboue down the right and they both like to attack, he has put a hugh amount of faith in Riise handling both of them, very strange decsion.

If Torres plays from the left, we'll have something to discuss after the match if the experiment doesn't pay off.
