i am wondering at what point will the people who praise rafa at every point realise that rafa will not win the league (assuming he doesn't)and start to call for change, how many years will it take of the same excuses about injuries, building a squad, etc etc etc

just wondering, or would you rather persist with him forever winning the odd cup and fighting for fourth place. there comes a time when that has to stop and people need to admit he isn't everything some of you think he is

Peewee , you know aswell as i do mate , that the majority of fans with half a brain will know when Rafa is not doing the job . You say yourself you don't want him to go . I think most fans will give him until the end of the season atleast and see where we are at. You know where i stand on this one , i firmly believe he is the right man for the job and we will win the league under his management. :)

Thats my opinion.

If you vote please give your reasons, and matbe if you vote no, who would you prefer??

WTF

Why oh why do these sort of threads keep getting posted.

We are unbeaten in the league we have had the best start to the league for sometime

It would be nice for another champions league glory run but i would prefer us to get knocked out and concentrate on the league.

I voted NO

i rather get beat and be in the position in the table that manure is , we can be unbeaten the whole season but finish 3rd or 4th

Fecking hell I'm getting bored of this childish attitude that just because you don't want to w8nk over a picture of Rafa then you are not a proper fan!! :veryangry
I am not a plastic fan, well if you call 16 years plastic then I suppose I am!! I've never supported any other team and don't ever intend to, I love LFC as much as any fan on here, I just have a different point of view which isn't based on blind devotion!!

sorry heimdall, this wasn't aimed at you personally.

I've just met a few plastics either at matches or in the pub who seem to think Rafa should go simply because we've lost 1 match

Some pr at on a mixed fan forum reckoned "Jol couldn't do any worse than Rafa" ! Yeah right, I guess Jol took spudz to two Champions League finals and won one, won the FA Cup, runners-up in the League Cup and finished has finished above Arsenal two seasons in a row - and we just didn't notice! Don't think Rafa has ever taken us as low as the relegation zone either.

But not everything is going well and while we're not out of the title race (or even the champions league) yet, we're hardly in pole position. We are unbeaten but so are Arsenal and beaten teams are above us so things could be a lot better. Last season was a disappointment in the wake of a first go Champions League and relative second season success. Have we progressed or simply stagnated? Has Rafa spent wisely? Has Rafa sorted the main problems? If he has then why do we still need another top striker, another CB and wide players worthy of Liverpool FC? Torres is a vast improvement on what we had before, Benayoun looks a good player but I'm not convinced he couldn't have spent the rest more wisely. And I reckon he needs those four sorting in January with perhaps Aurelio, Kewell, Sissoko, Crouch and Pennant sold to raise some funds. If only Rafa had forked out more on players like Quaresma and not bothered with the likes of Pennant.

u're not really a big pennant fan right ?? it's not easy to perform when u know u're not gonna be a guaranteed a place in the line up , week in and week out ..

But yes i do feel that the players except pennant should be sold and a quality winger should be brought in , mainly quaresma but i doubt that move is likely

He's played in each Premiership game so how guaranteed a place does he need to have?!?!?!?!? I think you should stop dismissing statistics and open your mind to them, you're basing your arguments on things that aren't even remotely true. He only missed one of the last three CL matches because he was a d1c khead and needlessly got sent off.

Using stats he's only missed four games all season and one was because he got sent off, that's not bad for someone you're claiming it isn't easy to perform because he's not "guaranteed a place in the line up , week in and week out .."

Many people dislike stats because they either don't like what they show or find they prove they're talking rubbish, I think you've notched up one of each (Sami/Pennant)

you've missed my point slightly. A plastic fan isn't always someone who's never been to Anfield....it's more of someone who only supports liverpool when they're winning. The CL win in Istanbull is the famous case of many people coming out of the woodwork and suddenly declairing "i've been a liverpool fan all my life" when they were supporting Arsenal/chelsea/manure the season before.

Plastic fans expect instant success....when it doesn't happen they want the manager out or instant change. Point is, they don't support the team and (if things go bad) usually f**k off after a season or 2 without success.

those are scrwed up people who are a disgrace to this club and fans all around the world . I am 16 dis year and have been a LFC fan for 9 years like my dad who has been a fan for 32 years . I may not have been there during the dalgish era but i do know the history of this great club 19 pl titles 5 cl titles is a great record , but that is past history , we need to start winning matches and titles .. I will always be a LFC fan , my heart and soul is committed to them and i will never ever be as fickle minded and change teams as soon as we are losing or when other teams are winning titles . Hard to believe there are ppl like this and they deserved to be called plastic fans
